That's (responsibly) gangsta.

20% down is definitely the responsibly gangster thing to do. It's what I did and I'm about as gangster as they come. I once killed a man with a trident.

Yeah, OP, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

I bought my house before I went looking for cars. Was one of those "it" things to do when the government was dangling $8k in front of your nose.

Then I used that $8k towards a car. Then got married and found out we were expecting a child and that car with its 2 doors became pretty useless.

I put 20% down on a $410,000 home, simply because the Toronto real estate market never wants to cool down

But hey, it was $410,000 CAD. So, that's not worth very much at all.

Had the RSB installed on firm setting. Makes a nice difference, definitely worth the money. The guy that installed it for me had some Work rims in his garage and said he was selling them for cheap but didn't get a price. Pretty sure they are the same as yours, xtc lol.

Yeah I wanted to see what it would look like so just did one rear. If I did rims though, I'd probably definitely need to drop it to make it look better. Only have 2 pictures, it was hard to get an angle because there was a car parked next to me.

Too much monies! I need new tires and they come with pretty new tires. Although the size isn't the same as OEM, I think he said these ones are it are a bit skinnier.

oh, thats basically what i did.
instead of buying tires, i bought wheels that came with used tires.

if you do purchase them, your speedo will be off slightly due to smaller tires.

New Michelin Pilot Sport will cost around $620.

I can't find one in Columbus! We have been out-bid 3 times now.

We offered 10k over the asking price and someone offered 15k over and said if it appraised for lower they would make up the difference in cash.

Sorry.. But I can't pay more for something than its actual worth

the housing market it literally ridiculous these days. year of over year increases in price more ridiculous than the last. houses on my street have been up for sale no less than a week before they sell for over asking.

on a more cheery note have any of you experiences cv shaft bind ? I'm getting a driveline vibration and I'm 100% sure its the shafts. do you guys have any info in regard to remedying to issue ?

ih8mud.com is the one I tangentially follow (had a Tacoma / have a 4Runner) for Cruiser topics.

ttora.com for general Toyota offroad.

a couple of years ago, when I took a road trip to Florida, I broke my trip into three days.

6 hours is the longest seat time i could take. anything more than that is just plain horrible

I got outbid like 8 times (over 8 months of house shopping) before I became one of "those" buyers who bid higher than asking price, (10K more) Only way I was able to get my house. Ended up asking the seller to split the closing cost, so I actually ended up only paying 2K more than asking price.

The worst thing about house shopping is finding a house you really see your self in...and then finding out you got out bid by cash lol or damn investors.

Now my house increased around 90K more in value and I was able to drop the PMI ( private mortgage insurance) in a year from date of purchase.

Le Sigh....

I know man! the other bad thing is we are in an apartment so if we end up terminating our lease it's like $3k.. on top of paying for closing/moving cost into new house.

We are seriously considering building if we can't find something by end of July.

Building a house would be awesome. I'd have so many secret rooms in it. Probably a slide/fireman's pole in there too. Only problem is to find a vacant lot cheap enough you need to be way out in the burbs.

Last year we drove to Daytona beach in the summer, and then California in Winter. Pretty much non stop driving, two days each way On both trips.

My parents did that, but my dad also worked in an area that wasn't close to a big city (at the time). They picked out prints and had builders bid on the house. My dad is also an engineer so he used the existing prints, altered them for what he wanted and sent them back to the original engineer/architect for approval. Pretty baller..

My wife and I would build in a development where builders have already purchased the land/lots and then they give you anywhere from 5-15 different house options. So the layout is similar to most of the houses in the community, but you get to customize the inside/outside (carpets, counters, bathrooms, brick, wood, stone, firep lace, basement, deck etc...)

It's really starting to look like the only option we have to get a house we really want/like/can afford in the area where we can both get to work.

Did that a few years ago. Major PITA with cost and time overruns and the 7-11 workmen often do shoddy work. You need your own project manager to oversee the clowns building the place.

Hey guize!

I remember making mental notes that there were a few Houston TSXs around but I should have actually written down *who* they were... Because I can't remember anything these days.

Irregardless ()...
