So I finally installed my SSD, so now I got a question.. I want to go ahead an update to Windows 10 when it comes out. From my understanding, it's an "update" so you can't do a clean install. Soo I was thinking about doing a re-install of windows 8.1 pro using the "Remove everything and reinstall Windows" feature meantioned in THIS acrticle. But I'm not sure if I need my original disc or not. I have looked up my product key, so maybe I could download windows 8.1Pro onto a flash drive or something.
Then secondly when re-installing I should get the option to install on either my HDD or my SSD, THEN move all of my backed-up files back to my HDD and re-install all of my previous programs on SSD, THEN update the system from 8.1 to Windows 10.
Does this sound like a solid plan? Any advice, or something I may be missing?

I'm skeptical of the seller and quality of it and the potatoe pictures don't really do it any justice. I'd want to see a picture of it on a CBP before I bought that.
Didn't Vr1 recently get a deck lid installed? Post some pictures if you get the chance, kind sir. Still debating if I want one.

hmmmmm maybe I should back up all my files to external drive, then delete all my files and junk from my HDD (so it fits in the 256GB disk), then clone onto the SSD. Then Re-install my files on the HDD..
My question though.. once the clone is done, how does the computer know which disk to boot from on startup? or do you just wipe the HDD and reformat after the clone; and then the computer runs through the list of bootable devices, and the only bootable will be the clone you just made on the SSD?
lol sorry if this is trivial.. I've never had a computer with 2 drives before haha

So what you want to do is burn a bootable USB disc of windows 8.1 and install windows 8 onto your SSD that way. You'll need to re use your product key. The only problem is, sometimes if it's an OEM key it won't let you activate on a clean install of windows. Sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't work you can usually call and do the phone activation and it goes fine.
Oh I didn't see that. Yeah that'll work also. But personally i would just do a reinstall instead of a clone. Also, to tell the computer which drive to boot up from you go into the BIOS (usually DEL or F12 or something) and set the boot drive to your SSD.

Has anyone dealt with scratches on the windshield before? My dad's wiper went to shit during the rain and now he has hairline scratches from the metal part of the wiper. Could I possibly use M205 on glass?
Yeah polishing glass works. There are pads and MFTs better suited for glass as well, but I'm not sure how much more effective/useful they are.
I have a scratch on my windshield that I can feel with my finger
. I think something sharp got under my wiper blade and when I turned it on it just dragged/scratched a curve on it. Don't think polishing will help me there since it's kinda deep

Oh yeah, that stuff. Like the 3M plastidip. Supposed to be easier than applying the clear vinyl since you don't need to worry about positioning.
I was curious about that stuff but what I read about it basically said what you just found out. Sounds so promising but doesn't really deliver.
Sorry to hear that.

I clearbra'd my door handles with the laminx thing and that was a huge pita, but it looks pretty good. I've been thinking about clear bra'ing the front part of my hood with the same stuff.
Also if anyone is looking at Tein coils there is a set for $533 on Amazon
Did you buy factory remans? You have to pay some type of fee in the beginning right? Then once you return your used axles you get the money back?
Also, did you replace the half shaft assy? Or just the left and right side?

Put my stock airbox on today from takeda cai.Butt dyno didn't feel much difference.
Ecu is chipped and was done with cai, tuner says its fine and will not make a difference, now i know this is fine but how much does stock airbox bog down with flow? Anyone done any real tests?
