Trans finally went

well trans finally gave out on my 00 tl. Started slipping then just got worse. Would have to pull over for 30 mins just to go 1 mile. 184k miles. Been thinking about the 06-07 accord trans swap but i just dont have the time and labor rates here in south jersey are crazy high

Guess i was venting but now i have a question. If i did the av6 swap, being my tl needs axles also do i continue to buy tl axles or accord?

Damn.. sorry to hear. I'm dreading the day when my trans gives out. 133k miles, still on original transmission believe it or not.

Hope you get her back on the road soon. AV6 swap is direct plug and play from what I've heard. Good luck to you, OP.

I am actually having a hard time finding a shop that will do this swap for me. They tell me its not possible. I try to let them know that it is really isnt a project and isnt any harder than the job itself.

I suppose i could but im honest to a default. Plus according to the av6 swap diy you gotta swap a few things from the tl trans to the accord. Id rather be honest so they know what they are getting into so i can get my ride back asap with no problems. If all goes well. Ive emailed a few of the places i called the write up so they have an understanding of whats going on. Might help might not.
