As some of you know, I bought my 2000 TL no navi with 130k for 2,000 cash. Everything works and it drives like a champ. No issues whatsoever. Had a CEL, SRS, intermittent Side SRS and the maint required lights on when I bought it....total christmas tree on the dash....

I went ahead and pulled the backup clock just to clear codes and get a fresh start. I did the srs reset where I pulled the yelow MPS plug and did the wire connect, and I changed the oil and reset the maintanance...the side airbag was due to my macbook on the front seat...

Well, started it, drove it around for quite a while and no lights at all. Hopefully the CEL was a fluke, or something the past owner fixed, but didn't reset. Anyways, I would love to sell the car, because I really don't need it, but I can't get anything CLOSE to this for 2k. I have people that will buy it for 5-6k and I may consider that

So buy pulling the backup fuse for the clock, that clears your maint light also?

 

No that just does the CEL. The maint. light can be reset by pushing the two trip reset buttons and turning the car to the on position and continue holding for about 10-15 seconds then letting go. Turn it off and start the car.
