relays of the same color can be swapped to test function
fuses from spare section of fusebox can be used too!

driver fan is fan temp sensor controlled--very common failure usually starts by fan running more than 2 minutes at shutdown and not always when needed so temp runs a bit hot

passenger fan is tied to the AC On

you need both, they are actually different when you look close

if driver fan, spin by hand--free? use jumper wire for power to ck operation
can use plug from other fan and turn ac on to ck (Ive heard but not tested)

driver fan sensor for your year is on pass lower corner of radiator and screws in=
easy diy

if the fan spins by hand I would start with that part

its usually the sensor,,if the power swap makes fan operate
if power wont make it run, fan motor

you may not notice slight noise of fan operation when you get out of your car

let it run with hood up, after 5 minutes or so it should run and go off

the car has to be really warm from drive have the fan run after shutdown
running it a few minutes wont generate enough heat to cause a temp spike and operate fan

^^^ thats what I figured coz the fan does turn on when the AC goes on, so it is working but will have to take her for a long drive one of these days LOL....

also both the fans move freely....when the car is off, i can turn them by hand....just FYI

had this issue awhile back just the passenger condenser fan turns on when i turn the AC and the temp is close to overheating happens to be a blown driver side fan motor. Best bang for the buck get a replacement fan motor at autozone for $45 bux.

Why not just get the whole fan with the motor already on it for $45 bucks? I didn't even try the sensor, my pass fan wont come on with the A/C so I bought a new one.....hope it wasn't a waste of $50!

Its better to use the OEM fan and assembly for proper fitment and quality not sure about the whole cheap aftermarket unit prolly the same.

I would like to see your proof of that! aftermarket fan motor is made to bolt up, Ive used them for years. blade transfer can be a pita on some

if the above posters would state place of purchase and price- with blade or just motor
thank you

Yeah I hear ya, mine was the A/C fan...it only gets hot if i drive 30 minutes or so with the A/C on. I dont use the A/C much anyway but I was afraid it would put more stress on the main fan because from what I understood it also comes on as a back-up fan on hot days? Now I think my fuel pump is dying...DAMMIT. On the bright side, I'm picking up a full OEM lip kit with a Wings West flush mount tomorrow morning for $300. There is a God after all!
