02 tl s mufflers

I'm looking for an inexpensive set of mufflers that will bolt right up and give me a little better sound. Does anyone know of any that work well? Maybe a little less restrictive and that look good. Let me know thanks

Is the 02 accord exhaust fit on a tl? As far as cat back? It looks similar and the aftermarket for the accord is way bigger! But I'm not convinced enough to buy. Anyone know?

I have the Tsudo axelback setup, but you will need to mod your mid pipe to get a better sound, I removed my mid muffler and replaced my cat and resonator with free flow versions. My car sounds about the same as a 370Z or G37 now, very subdued at idle, very pronounced at WOT.

I don't want to mess with the cat. I did notice a difference from my headers but I just want to free up some of that throaty sound that is muffled. Tsudo system is great but would be a little too far out of my price range. If a resonator delete would get me where I want to be I could do that but if after market mufflers for less that $200 would give me the same results I'd prefer doing that.

You won't find any "New" mufflers for that price, unless they are generic, and unless you weld, you will have to pay a shop to install them. I originally had a straight pipe (rear and mid muffler delete), it had a drone and I didn't think it sounded very good inside the cabin. What I have now I like very much, but everyone has a different opinion of "what sounds good". I have a deep rumble, but not loud, with normal driving. At WOT, when the Vtec kicks, it gets louder, but not obnoxious. You could have a shop pull your rear cans and install pipes with tips, you will be louder, I think there are some sounds clips on here with that setup.

Just do what skirmich did and do an axleback straight pipe. Look up his thread under "my straight pipe sound". It sounds nice. I'm planning on doing it to my tl. I had to find a guy that does custom exhaust because there is t a shop around me that does the custom bend. It also should be cheaper then any name brand mufflers.
