Custom muffler like ATLP or others

Hi,
I am curious if I only replace stock mufflers with aftermarket mufflers like ATLP. Does it affect MPG or anything like back pressure etc.?

and sound gets louder?

Thanks

You won't sacrifice any MPG's just replacing the mufflers. If you notice a decrease, it's because the car sounds great and you have a heavier foot. You will notice a increase in sound, but I recommend doing the entire catback as the systems are designed to sound a certain way as a complete unit.

We do offer our XLR8 mufflers separately which you can PM for pricing.

I was trying to get more aggressive looking exhaust tip like quad tips. But my local exhaust shop did not get the work done well. now the stock tip was cut off. and installed tip looks low quality and one side is not on right position. They wont want to redo the work. I did not find out better choice on quad tip. ebay has one for 2012 TL, but after some research, I thought that is not what I want. So thinking about just replace stock muffler with aftermarket muffler with quad tips at 4'' size

That's my biggest concern with Frankenstein job when replacing tips or mufflers. Although the end result comes down to materials you choose and workmanship of the installer.

Very interesting.
Do the mufflers include the round or oval tips as well?

It's too bad the AWD only has an axle back flange on one side and not the other. I hate cutting any of the stock exhaust components.

I'm going to be running PCD (installation is on monday) and XLR8 long j pipe.

I really love the look of the XLR8 oval tips. I just dont want too much dB coming out of the tailpipe.
