I'm putting the type s tail lights on my 99 tl and I want to tint just the bottom part of the light and keep the white part white. how would I go about doing this? would the only way be to buy one of those vinyl tints for the whole light and cut it?

 

never new we had separate tail lights for the type-S....

you could also use the Tint spray and tape off the white portion of the tail light

Leave him alone lol. I used the spray method and taped off the clear section.

i just tinted my entire rear tail light, then ran about 3 layers of painters tape right underneath the white part to create a groove. then i just took a razor blade and went straight across, resting on the groove. then i peeled off both the tape and the top part. i still have it if i ever want to stick it back on and tint my entire rear

 

i light smoked the white a couple months ago it's a little lighter than JDM Inspired's


... everyone makes mistakes, some of my friends thought they were type s tails too

 

Film is better but if you dnt know how to tint you might mess up acouple times.

 

use the vinyl and cut it out if you get tired of it you can just pull it off

oh I just assumed those were the type s lights since my base tl has the white and orange. thanks for the feedback though.
