I can't find anything in the garage or in the search engine regarding this simple issue. I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I need clarification.

Im interested in buying Depo tail light covers from Unique Style Racing like this:

What I"m confused about is how do tail light covers actually work?

If the Depo tail light cover replaces the red reflector cover, then won't the bulbs fail to reflect red? If so, this is highly illegal and completely unsafe. Or, do the Depo tail light covers just fit over top of the existing OEM red reflector covers?

Note that these aren't complete tail light replacements, they are just tail light covers. I emailed Unique Style Racing and am waiting for a response. Any help would be appreciated guys! Thanks in advance.

 

On our TL's the tail lights are indeed covers and separate from the LED board. There are still diffusers that will disperse the LED lights properly.

 

The LED's themselves are red and therefore the covers wont be a problem.

There we go...simple enough. I didn't realize that the LEDs within the housing were actually red in color themselves. Thanks for the help guys.
