Question guy's..

What would be my best option for a blown headlight? Should i just buy some new bulbs or should i put my headlight back to the factory specs and take it up to carmax for warranty work? I cleared my headlights and had a good seal, for some reason tho, my housing fogged up after a good rain and blew my bulb. Help me out with some opinions..

Honestly, I would try sealing the headlights up real good first, so you know you don't have any leaks where water can get it, leave them cleared and try the dealer route. They might not even notice. For all the work that's involved, I don't think it would be worth it to go through that all over again. I do suggest making absolutely certain it is your headlight though. I was sure my headlight was blown, ordered new ones to find out it was my ballast that was bad. Water can effect ballasts as well.

Yea, it is for sure my bulb.. I took it out and looked at it. I might just try that, see what happens.. Sometimes the dealership doesn't pay the best attention to detail..

It came this way- what do you mean they have been altered- !!!!
you sold me an Abby Normal carrrrrrrrrrrr????????????????

New bulbs are 150 per pair!f for the correct ones
Let Carmax replace the housings or give you a check for their cost
and you install yourself after letting the guy in Off Topic do it right for you!

Thanks for the opinions folks.. I think i just may go with the ol' "thats how i bought it routine". Lol! I just wish that the seal would've held.. It was a good seal, i dunno what happened..

Glad you figured it was the ballast before you bought bulbs. That's the mistake I made. Yeah, the warranty is actually 107k miles now. There is a oil jet that they install in the fill hole for the tranny as well.

So i took my car to Nally Acura on monday, got it back today.. She is running sweet, the new tranny is so smooth and i have 2 headlights again.. But as a cruel joke, this is what they gave me to drive.. '07 AM w/2tone tan & blk int. It had 180ish miles when i got it and 330ish when i gave it back.. I was the 2nd person to drive it.. Man, this thing was so freakin nice, i didn't know a tl could ride as good as this thing did.. Almost makes me wanna try to get it.. I love my car (and my bank account) too much to do it tho.. When i get home, i realize that they still have my lug nut key! I might need that.. Its a sign..

use sillica gel packets inside of your headlights to get rid of that fogging

Yeah man - Nalley usually hooks me up right on the loaner - I've had an 07TL, 07 RDX, and at one point had a RL on "special permission." Oh yeah, they gave me a 07 TSX once too with Navi. Those guys have taken care of me in the past, but make sure you don't leave anything valuable in your car - the last time mine was there, about $5 in change was taken / missing when I picked it up (only the quarters and dimes, left me the pennies and nickels.....
