Need help!! 02-TLS tranny issue.
Hi.
I just got an used 2002 TL-S with appx. 82,000 miles on it because I thought the TL would run forever.
However, when I was driving on the road, I found that everytime I'm at the speed of shifting into 3rd gear, it rev's for couple of seconds and then shifts into 4th gear. When I did a search on this forum, I found that many tl's have similar problems as I'm experiencing.
Now, I know that there was recalls on certain tl's and tl-s' on tranny parts.
My question is, what is the mileage that the dealership will cover under warranty/recall for tranny.
I know, I can just call and ask, but I want to find out from someone who has done it before.
thanks in advance.

thanks.
thanks.
you can go to acuras owners link and enter your vin and it will tell you if your covered , if you have had the oil jet kit installed, and if there is any thing else.
AM I blind or what.. ? I can't find the link to acura's owners. Sorry to bother you so much, but can you give me the link? Also, what do you mean by oil jet kit installed and if there is anything else, am I supposed to take them off? before I take it in? Also, Would the dealership provide a rental car while they are working on my TLS?

I went to Acura dealership yesterday, dropped my tls off for the tranny service. After their technician took it for a test drive, they decided to swap for a new tranny. YES!!!
The sad part is that they rented me a Chrysler Sebring while my car is being serviced. I feel like an old man driving the Chrysler..
I don't know if that extended warranty only covers tranny part or bumper to bumper up to 100,000 miles. Does anyone know?
