Im having evil ideas brewing again :D

Ok well i have an opportunity to scoop up some cheap gsxr throttle bodies .. what does this have to do with an acura you say ??? hmmmmmmmmmm

wellll if anyone has seen toda racing manifold for the s2000 then youll have somewhat of an idea. I want to do a similar setup with individual throttle bodies

What do you think of this idea ... i have all the tools to properly produce this piece. Would I throw a CEL from the Air sensor because its not coming in through the throttle body anymore ? I know everyone would be concerned about pulling stuff into the throttle bodies .. but i dont think your going to kick a rock that high up into the motor lol. Also i was thinking about using extremely low restriction filters or screens on top of the throttle bodies

What do you guys think ?? Give me feedback, I think this would be good for a nice added hp and torque gain

Did you ever dyno with the port/polish? I noticed you're selling the intake and manifold.

for one its not about rocks that would get kicked up, but dust dirt and sand you would need to make a cover or filter every one good. 2nd there is more than just sticking seperate throttle bodys on, like tunning, Which is something we cant do on the TL unless someone gets us a way to reprogram our computers.

would it be cool. YES but there would have to be alot of time machining the parts to fit correctly, tunning, and covers

i know that .. like i said i have all the proper equipoment to create this.
what tunning is there? i mean aside from the cel problem i thought of

take any header company for example .. they didnt tune .. ie. change the engine an ecu diameters to better adapt to the new modification. If by tuning you mean "testing" than yea of course theres testing ... ie. seeing which placement works best .. etc etc

tuning and testing are different terms

Why would you want to cover up something so nice as this ? lol i dont think covers would be neccesseray lmao.

well there would need to be tunning to take advantage of the different flow and responce, and amount of fuel. its not just a simple bolt on.
and if a cover isnt that important, you might as well take off any intake tubes, or filters you have now and just suck it in from the TB, it would be doing the same thing and would lead to a bad engine quick

If you don't mind me asking, what equipment to you plan on using to recalibrate the TL's computer? Do you plan on using the factory intake manifold and runners?

Having a seperate TB on each intake runner would result in such a dramatic increase of air that the car's computer would also need to be reprogrammed in order to handle the air flow, increased TB response, and re-map the spark timing, correct? Without this, I doubt that the car would run very efficiently and the mod would almost be worthless because the car could not respond to the presence of the extra TB's properly.

Also, Kris is right about needing a cover or at least some type of filter to keep the air that is running through as clean as possible. Neglecting to do that is a sure way to trash your engine on your TL.

i was .. i decided that if i do go the turbo route i would buy another tl-s, lol. Im going to go all motor maybe spray orp a supercharger down the line if it comes to that. (Much easier and cheaper then a one off turbo kit/installation)

But I want to see what I can get out of this motor with the stock bottom end and all motor modifications

ITBs? haha that's INSANE! If you go through with it, we want sound clips! Oh, here's the website of a shop that does awesome custom work.

http://www.haywardperformance.com/

You might want to talk with them.
