hi flow cat converter?

anyone done a cat converter swap on the TL?

i saw somebody done it in a TSX but not sure if anyone done to a TL

does it give a gd gain on the TL? anyone knows?

i would think that a hi flow cat on any car would give good gains. Nothing super but like 5-10 hp maybe we do have v6's so I would think the gains on our cars would be better then the tsx's.

I don't think 5-10HP is realistic for out TL. The gain would be minimal with stock exhaust maybe 1-2HP and you would loose some torque because the decreased back pressure. I woulnd't bother unless you are getting catback exhaust, then the gain would be more substanial.

The gains on a TLP will definitely be better than on a TypeS. The TypeS already has a very good, high-flow cat.

on most cars in most tests the cat doesnt rob much if any hp, so the gains would be very minimal at best.
the best reason to put one on would be if you had high mileage on your cat

I've done it to my ex-car TL-P.I was happy with the gain(high end),but lose a little torque and smell so bad.I think i'll do it again with my Type-S

Yes,it is direct bolt on,I'll try to take pic tomorrow.but it's made by metal,so it is rusty.
