To Remove the transmission:
I took the liberty of going back into one of my old threads and found the pages Kris scanned for me for disconnecting the tranny. I thought I'd paste it here for future reference for you guys when it comes to removing your tranny from the driveshaft. This way, you'll be able to remove the engine + tranny all together.

While doing this swap, jut remove the motor and trans all in 1. There is no need to disassemble it. Both can be pulled out together.
Also if you pop you hood open, unclip the washer fluid hose from its mount on the passenger side strut tower, pop off the hood strut on that side, then go to the drivers side, unclip the drivers side hood strut unscrew the mount it attaches to on the hood and look down a few inches you will see another threaded hole, screw it in there then attach the hood strut. It will hold the hood open vertical for you. Of course if you dont mind taking the hood off it will give you much more room. But it works good for those installing headers or spark plugs,

^ I'm not disassembling the tranny from the motor at all, ... but for my year , I have to disconnect the drive shaft to be able to have to engine and tranny come out together. ... It's Strange

You have to do that for ALL years.Unhook it from all the mounts slowly start lifting. Get it up a inch or so and then pop the half shafts out of the trans and intermediate shaft then start lifting slowly checking on them that they are sliding out. Pop them out all the way one enough and pull engine out

Update!!!
Well, I'm pulling an all-nighter for this stupid job... I'm trying to get as much done as I can before school starts up monday. So from now i'll be doing the conversion, and then from there, walk straight to work for 9-7pm, and then back to the conversion again a little while after resting.
So far, tonight I've done the following:
1. Uninstall my headers
2. Removed the shifter cable from the tranny
3. Drained the engine oil
4. Remove the cold air intake + battery
5. Removed the front air bag (I'll show you how)
What's left to do for tonight:
1. Drain both coolant and ATF fluids
2. Removing the drive-train from the tranny
3. Removing the dash
4. Removing the engine harness
5. Removing the transmission's harness
6. Removing the bolts to prepare the engine+tranny for removal
7. Chillin with beautiful women, while drinking smirnoff ice to relax
For example: . .. you can definitely see how tired I am from this conversation.. I can't even smile right. lol oh wait.. "conversion." sorry for the spelling. haha once again, too tired
AND I have LOTS of pictures for you guys.
To start off... here's what you need to know... I found some bolts that hold in the dash:
When I removed my XS power headers... I must admit, for a year of having these things, they are AWESOME! They're still in incredible shape!
The only downfall is that from being lowered, I ran into some major speed bumps.. and yet, the end result.
BUT, many of you were wondering if the XS rings would hold up... they're still in perfect shape despite the brutal beating I give this car every day.
ALRIGHT, for the shifter cable, when you're under the car, look at the tranny.. You'll see this:
You want to unscrew these two bolts first:
And then unscrew these three bolts holding the plate in:
To get to the last bold, you'll have to squeeze your socket in there. They're all 12MM bolts
Once all that's done, you'll see a bolt holding the shifter to a pin that's connected to the tranny, remove that bolt with a 10MM socket and you're good to go.
And the cable comes right out
Now, to Drain your oil, here's the bolt.. a 17mm socket will unscrew this.
To Drain your Automatic Transmission Fluid, there bolt's right in here, the big one. This one, just stick in your 3/8" socket/rachet wrench (without any sockets on it) in there to get it removed
And, to drain your coolant.. Remove the splash guard, which looks like this:
Then look for a white colored tab like the one shown below.. That's where to coolant comes out
To be able to remove the drive-shaft from the transmission, remove your wheel, the fork, etc. as if you were normally changing out your shocks.. but remove this nut as well.. it's right behind the rotor:
That'll give you the ability to remove the shaft away from the tranny; once you do this, look for a place where you can pry the shaft away from the tranny, like so:
If you need more specific directions to remove the shaft, check out Steps 25-34 in the scanned pages from the previous post.
I'll fill in you guys more on the details soon with more pictures as the evening goes. If I make enough progress, I'll be able to take out the engine/tranny either tomorrow or later on this week

Guys, I was wondering... I'm thinking of going two-tone.. how much does the usual estimate run to just pain the hood, roof, and trunk? I've been getting about $600 everywhere I've visited.

Bad News...
Well... campus security rolled up to me tonight while I was getting the engine ready to be pulled out.. every harness was removed... They told me that I'm not allowed to work on my car anymore on campus (even though i've been working on my car in the garage for the past semester with them having no problem with it at all). To make it even worse, they expect me to tow my car out of the garage and place it somewhere else to have it worked on. What the @#$!. AND.. to top it off, they're going to CHARGE me for any mess I have made while working on the car. What the @#$!!!! 
So.. temporarily, this project's come to a screeching halt. Sucks incredibly.
Does anyone in tampa have AAA? I can't even afford towing the car... even down the street.

Great write-up so far!
That sucks that the University won't let you finish work there after you already have so much done and it's not drivable. If I was down there I would try and help you out, but I'm in Tallahassee. Not that I would know how to do anything. BTW, if you are still around FLA you need to help me with my swap once my auto tranny goes out. I have a 99 as well.

Yes, indeed this definitely blows... I'm going to go ahead and talk to the head of security and see what they say... When you go chat with the security folks, let them know how close you are to finishing up the job. Maybe if they know you could finish it quickly they could cut you some slack.
But it's probably an insurance liability issue. They could potentially be liable if you got hurt while working on the car. If that's the issue, there's probably no way they'll let you continue working on the car.
