Update!

Me and a Nissan tuner got together today to throw in the engine since I have to move all of the crap out of my room (Only have 1.5 weeks left to finish up everything. The dude's name is Vincent. I have to admit, we dropped in the engine in record time. 30 MINUTES! Even though I installed the spacers, the hood was able to close, but there's so damn little play the engine gets. I'll have to modify the hood sometime early this summer where the engine won't interfere with the hood. This is without having the cover on the engine on. Also, I was surprised that the headers cleared the bay also, I was amazed that the engine went in well. For those who do the swap, remember one thing, to get the engine on the mounts properly when you're reinstalling it, rock/tilt the engine toward the back so the engine sits well with rear mount first, and then you can place the engine on the front mount with no problem.

Well, here's a few pics. I'll be reconnecting a few tubes and bolts tomorrow.

The Victory dance. LOL

Mario... remember that stupid engine hoist?.. check this out.. what took me 3 months to do, he figured out in 5 minutes. It would've been alot easier if we just mounted the damn thing onto the handtruck. LOL

I'll be reassembling half of the interior tomorrow (carpeting, seats, 1/2 the center console, etc.)

If anyone wants a free set of cleared out headlights, PM me!

Also, to everyone that bought something from me, your items have been shipped out recently , so please be patient. Thanks!

Great job. Make sure to remove the VSA throttle body before you try connecting any thing up to the TB. That can just be discarded.

Also i got my manuals back so if you need them or any help let me know

Just to make things clear, I'm just willing to trade my cleared out headlights with anyone's stock headlights because I'm going to black them out. I'd ship my headlights to the person, and in return, they just send back their set in the same box to reduce shipping costs. Once again, if interested, PM me for details.

Oh and you better get some better engine dampeners, or that motor will hit the hood!

That can be discarded?.. SWEET! I don't have to worry about recutting my AEM CAI again. It'll fit in there perfectly. The tube/hosing that goes on the tipe stretches over the throttle body for a nice tight fit

Everyone's getting on my ass because school's over in under two weeks and we have to all move out of our rooms on time. Besides, to install the clutch and tranny won't be much of a problem at all since I have alot of room to do it. The 6MT's a hell of alot ligther and smaller so I have more space to bring it in from the top. I test fitted the clearance from the CL i got my parts from.

If I'm able to have time tonight after writing these papers, I'll reconnect the headers and paint my engine cover also.

Yep. The CL-S manual doesnt have VSA so you can take that TB off and sell it, turn it into a paper weight, or what ever you want!

Ok I know im going to get killed for even asking this but during this conversion are you aloud to keep the regular speedmetor? I was just wondering because I really perfer the black to the white. I like how the white has little light unlike the blacks boxes lights but overall I perfer the black. So is it possible to like just discount the PRND lights and just leave the black and remember were the new redline is?

Um, well.. mmm.. it's possible to keep the speedometer, fuel and temp guages, and it's possible with the tachometer from what I've seen, but you'll have to modify the sending unit of the temp gauge for the new engine, that's the going to be the bitch behind the project.... I know most of this is possible, but before I say anything, I'll try it out before I swap out the old cluster for the new and then tell you my results from there.. sounds good? I wouldn't want to go ahead and give you wrong info without trying it first. More than likely, i'll just throw a silly code (happened to Mario when we swapped clusters, he has to reset his SRS now) or not, not sure. But either way, i'll try it out for you Just make sure you remind me right before I'm done with the conversion

The type -s isnt white. its silver

I wouldnt want the auto gauges in. The tach is much bigger for easier reading, and you wouldnt have to stare at the ugly PRND54321. But thats just my (and i think the type-s gauges look better than the black ones

Oh thats really nice but you dont really have to do that I was just wondering if its possible and yeah I do see what you mean by that pic I guess idk I just perfer black but I could see why it would make more sense to have the CLS one.
