Current Market Value

I am wondering what the current makret value of a 2G TL is. I know there are alot of new users in this section, as well as, alot of users who have sold their TL. So, I am curious to the ballpark price you recent may have purchased your TL at or even sold your TL at. I know its going to vary on alot of items, but I am just trying to complile a pretty basic idea.

Could you post your year of TL, Type, Miles, and ballpark purchase or sale price?

Yes, I agree with Mike. Kelly Blue Book is where I would start. The KBB prices take many variables into account and they are often used as a starting point for price negotiations.

Edmunds.com has another helpful pricing service.

You are right, KBB is a great place to start, but I was more curious to try and collect some data from users over a few months period of time.

Still not helping what I am attempting to research. I am trying to get a month-by-month comparison for sale and purchase price for the TL's.

Can your beloved KBB show me that?

Go to autotrader.com and see what the TLs are selling for in your area. Keep in mind that there is a little bit of wiggle room in those prices, but it should be pretty close.

And why are you 'researching' this? Nevermind, I don't want to know. :shakehead

What makes you think AZ members are a representative sample and there are enough people buying and selling each month?

Oh, it's not my 'beloved kbb' and I have no idea if it can. Knock yourself out. Actually, it's not you, it's all the people who reply.

I'm suspicious of people who claim to be 'researching' something, wont say why or what, and come on here asking people what they paid for thier cars and it's amazing anyone responds. I see your response was generic.

my reply is off topic.. I know

I WISH I COULD FIND A DEAL LIKE THIS!!!!! im in the bay area, am im looking to upgrade from my 99tl-p without navi TO a 2000-2003 TL-s with navi.. ideally it would also have OEM body kit and OEM spoiler.. and under 80k miles. with a spending limit of 15k.

The problem is that there aren’t enough private sellers in the bay area.. its all dealers who try to scam you with extremely overpriced tl-s' 18k-23k

I bought my 99TL Navi one year ago for $11,000. It had 38,000 miles on it. Mint Condition.
Got a great deal from the independent seller. Didn't buy at a garage/or dealership.

I don't understand your skepticism? It's not like that was my first post on AZ or anything.

MikePA,

I agree, call me naive, but ZeroPSI appears to be a reputable board member; what sketchy acts are you suspicious of that he could commit with the knowledge he gains from this thread? I apologize for sounding a bit green, I'm just looking to gain insight....

Thanks,

Mark

check out the black market section ... i bought mine from a member of this site... not a single problem with the car since i have owned it (a little over a month)... for added assurance i took it to the acura dealer and had them check for anything that could be wrong... not a single thing other than the resonator was taken off which was on purpose and i will leave it off... and there was a slight crack in one of the foglight lenses... look for someone on this site with a bit of a history of being apart of this site... the owners are here because they love their cars and love keeping it running top notch... good luck with your search though.... if you find a good deal on here consider looking a bit further away from you, because you could probably get a really nice deal and wont be disappointed. sorry to get the thread off topic a bit lol.. but thanks for the time

If someone walked up to you on the street and asked you what you paid for your car, would you answer them? I wouldn't. It's none of their business. At a minimum, I'd want to know why they wanted this information. If you want to supply this info, absent any explanation on why they're interested in it, good for you.

i think the important thing we should ask ourselves is what could he actually do with this information that would in the least bit affect us? from what i can think of.. he cant do much except satisfy his own curiosity .. thats why i didnt have a problem answering.. dont flame the guy... if you dont wanna answer just move on to the next thread, it seemed like a harmless question to me.

Well he is not off the street, he is on a Acura forum asking a simple question to fellow Acura owners. There really is no need to get your panties in a bunch over a simple question. Did he ask for your social security number at some point in time.:theghey:
