hmm, IACV or what?? A true mystery...
I recently changed the upper/lower IMs on my TLP to Type S IMs, as well as the TB. Now, before I installed the type S TB, I used the TLP TB with the Type S IM--I was getting the classic symptoms of a faulty IACV; the RPMS jumping up and down in park and neutral etc etc. So, today I install my Type S TB, which came with another IACV. This did not solve the problem, and when I plug in the OBD scanner, I keep getting P0505--I know this is the IACV code. Now, are there any other possible scenarios, or did I run into 2 bad IACVs? Also, the computer threw P1519, but that has yet to reappear............any ideas before I go and buy this part?
One more thing...hwo much slack should there be in the throttle cables?

clean the iac. Also symptoms like the iac symptoms are vacum leaks. are you sure all the gaskets are goon and arent leaking?

if you hear a hissing, most likely its a vacum leak. If the car wasnt running or ideling right due to it it would most likely throw some type of code

Are you sure the upper IM is sitting flat on the lowers? I had issues with the plastic loom that protects the coil pack wires from touching the engine. I had to cut out the rear loom to get the upper IM to sit flat. Just make sure the upper IM is sitting flat on the lowers and there is no gap.
All the bolts torqued to spec? Do you have a Helms? Not that it's that important but make sure when you bolt down the upper IM that you tighten in a criss-cross pattern.
Other than that, all I can think is the IACV may be FUBAR on both TBs. Weird coincidence I know.
