Any cat that is CARB certified will have an EO (Executive Order) number stamped on the heat shield.
Here's an example from Rock Auto for my 2001 TL.
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...5808&jsn=11016
D-182-67 is the EO number
82997 is the part number for the Walker Cat.
0816 should be the date of manufacture.
You can search for CARB certified cats here:
https://ssl.arb.ca.gov/AftermarketParts/catalysts
Just make sure anything you find on eBay or elsewhere matches the listing or you'll fail even though it may provide acceptable emissions.

Absolutely horrible. And CARB complaint converters are the most expensive!
I found the walker part's guide for converters, you may want to look a universal fit converter being that they more than likely cut off your exhaust piping/flange leading up to; it would make no sense to buy a direct fit converter if the exhaust flanges are gone.

I saw the universal fit converter for significantly less on amazon also!

Good point. Since the stock one mounts to flanges, they likely cut them off, outside of the flanges. Check your O2 Sensor wire too but that may have been cut on the sensor side, not the harness side.
When mine failed (not stolen) just over 3 years ago, I had it replaced with a Magnaflow Universal and the shop welded it in for $500 total. I see the same cat is $1100!!!!!

Not to hijack Steve's thread...Curious as to what caused the failure...mine is still working; though I hear they go out with mileage and I am knocking on 225K miles.
I also saw that recycling the converter can recoup a big portion of that loss (hence why so many are stolen) and wondering if you did indeed recycle and what the value was?
