Why go to all that work to install a tranny with more problems?

What kinds of headers are you using?? Did you end up going with the DC's and modifying the rear engine mount bracket??? Or are you on the stock headers right now??? I think I am going to have my ass handed to me when you come down here!!!

Why?? the 5 speed has failure issues, and the manual is far more fun

I went with the XS headers. they had the notch in them for the rear mount. if i hadnt found out about them i would have gone with the DC. Yea, im not sure how quick the TL-S auto is but i can say that the manual is really fast. Alot faster than the TL-P i was used to. Its just non stop pull

Yea, good old Oshkosh. Just don't come through this week because of EAA. Traffic is usually pretty hectic around this time.

I'm just a reject from the TSX forums, and a recent (< 1 month) TSX 6MT buyer, but I have to say that this rules. That's amazing. I would never do that, but that's because I couldn't. You, sir, are the man. Congrats, and I can't wait to see the final pics.

Carpet and seats go in tomorrow for the final touches. If you guys are lucky ill post pics tomorrow when its done.

The only things that wont work any more from this project are as follows (and mostly to me not wanting to spend the money)

Air bags (they changed over the control module at some point and its wired differently)
ABS-- (for sissies) that and the abs pump on the cl-s is for just abs, and not abs/tcs
and moonroof (which at some point this winter im going to remove and weld shut for additional headrom)

I can't wait for the photos!

It would also be cool if you could, at some point, summarize the entire project in one spot.

So basically you have a 6MT TL with none of the safety features. I couldn't handle that but as long as I don't have to drive it, it sure is nice to see it completed!

id rather not have ABS. and as far as the air bags, they havent worked in my car in over 2 years. I have a faulty OPDS and im not paying that type of money for a air bag. Seat belts will do me just fine. Now if they worked before this project then i would have taken the time to hook up the wiring.

Nice job, but this is more like a custom work. I don't know if any shop is willing to convert AT to MT like what you are doing. I will be the first in line at your house for this work.

hasnt been that much. Im unsure of what wiring would need to be changed if you already had a type-s You may be able to reuse more and repin the harness. ??? the shifter biit is a direct snap in. fits like a glove. 2 more wires to hook up for the stereo and im throwing the carpet back in!!!!!

Wow... the other stuff is really minor...

The interior looks great... just like a CL 6spd, except for the color and the not perferated leather on the steering wheel...

Good luck on the shakedown trip...
