Keyless Remote Question

Recently I have been running into my car flashing a Keyless Remote Not Detected after a passenger leaves the car and closes the door. When I go to turn the off and back on the ignition cover doesn't want to turn and after a few tries it turns and starts just fine. I have replaced with brand new batteries in the key fob and still randomly happens. Does anyone have any incite to this problem?

Thank you

is the fob next to you phone/wireless device?

Does the other person also have a fob?

Mine is not near a phone when it happens. My phone does block the signal when it is near my fob, however.

I would try putting the key somewhere else, although I keep mine there too with no issue.

Also consider trying to a test with FOB 2 and leave 1 at home.

I guess it is something with Driver 1 since i have been using Driver 2 and don't run into the problem anymore. I don't know why I never thought of just using Driver 2

Cool now that we've isolated the problem... If you want D1 back, try a new battery battery

Problem has been for a few months actually. Just finally got around to looking at changing the batteries in the FOBs and looking for answers to what it might be.

Appreciate the follow up

Sidebar: I keep both my smart fobs in the same pocket for both vehicles. I've found that for some reason, the RL fob occasionally causes interference with the Lexus fob, but not the other way around.

When you take the physical hard key out of the fob that key has a transponder that sends a signal to the computer telling it that it is programmed for that car and allowing it to start.
I ordered a new key and had it programmed to my car.
