Keyless Remote Fob Question for Yall

I Lost my remote to the car yesterday somewhere around my apartment complex. Question, is there someway to cancel out the signal of this particular remote and just use the #2 control? I called the dealer and the service guy told me that i need to only get a new fob and reprogram it. Does this sound correct to anyone that knows? Or would this be a good time to get a after market alarm system? What would be the most economical choic?
alram sys. $200+ key fob $110

Buy a new key fob.
But don't pay $110 for one.
They are less elsewhere.

Ebay has new ones. I got 1 off of Ebay. The only option to cancel out the old key fob is to programm another one in it's place. SO if you lost #1 you need to get another #1 fob, same if you lost #2. This makes the old one not work anymore. Try:

You can use the #2 if u dont want to spend the money. If you go thru the programmning sequence the old remote that u lost wont work with your car anymore
