2G RL Bluetooth Phone Compatibility
I've owned a few phones since owning my RL so I figured I would add these to the compatibility list. I'm not sure this thread is relevant anymore but what the hell:
Sony Xperia X10
Sony Xperia Z
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Xperia Z5 premium
Sony Xperia X10
Sony Xperia Z
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Xperia Z5 premium
The ONLY phone I didn't really like was the Z3. I'm not really sure what it was but something about that phone and the software just didn't work well together, especially with SMS and MMS. I had a lot of issues with unreceived messages. It's also worth noting that that was the only T-mobile branded Sony phone I ever owned.
The phones have gotten better in a lot of ways but I really wish they would bring back cyber-shot cameras into the lineup.
I just purchased a 2005 RL. I have an iPhone 6S (Sprint). Sitting in my driveway, the phone paired with Bluetooth without issue and I was able to make a phone call using HFL. The signal strength and battery status showed up in the small display above the steering column. I am presuming that I can receive calls and make them while driving, but I will try to confirm in the next couple of days.
I hope I'm not just repeating old news but thought someone might be interested.
Thanks

Do not update your iphone to IOS 10. You won't hear them on incoming call after accepting it and while your listening to your radio, cd, xm it won't mute or switch to your phone. Solution for that is connect your phone to speaker and connect it back to hfl after accepting an incoming call.
Iphone 7 / 2012 RL
I am able to pick-up incoming calls from HFL and also make calls thru HFL as I did with 5S. I did do the software update (which seems to have some other bugs)
I have a 2012 RL
Pairing iPhone
I am handing my '05 RL down to my boys next month, and we are trying to connect their phones to the HFL, but the verbal command process is not hearing me correctly. I am not able to go past setup to pair the phone. Is anyone familiar with another way of pairing a phone when the voice inside the car does not understand me?

Google Pixel 3
I ha be a 2010 RL and my Google pixel 3 pairs and I'm able to listen to music and control it thru the steering wheel. Still haven't tried to make a call. I see the battery level on the display.
