LG 600 on Net10 - Cheap Net10 LG with bluetooth works. Signal indicator and battery strength

Which carrier? The same phone model may behave differently depending on modifications the carrier has made to the flash memory of the phone.

 

Verizon Wireless

 

Wierd thing happens with my BOLD 9000. When I get a call from another AT&T number, whether it's my wife from her iPhone or my boss from his BOLD 9000 the caller ID on the MID is blank. The caller ID on the phone works fine, but for some reason it doesn't transmit it through the BT link. If I get a call from a land line or someone using another carrier it all works fine.

Anyone else notice this?

 

Droid Works perfectly Battery and Signal Strength, still trying to figure out how to get the acuralink to work.

 

Storm 2 from Verizon wireless works perfectly, battery is not accurate.

Doesn't anyone know if Acura link can be activated with Verizon?

 

Per the HFL website, it will work with AcuraLink if you have one of these Verizon Data Plans:

•Broadband National Access, also known as "Voice Data Bundle" or "Data Add On"

Also note, call waiting will not work.

Ditto Unique,... paired my Motorola Droid tonight works with battery and signal strength. Call quailty very good.

 

Looks like Verizon is charging extra $15 to be able to do tethering.

 

My Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic paired fine and calls work well. Battery and signal levels seem accurate. The problem is that Acuralink keeps telling me it found a new phone. Very annoying. I don't have wireless internet on my phone so Acuralink won't work. Damn thing keeps trying though. There's something random about it though. Sometimes I won't ask, other times it asks before the 'don't be stupid' warning comes up, other times it comes up a few minutes into the drive.

 

Sony Ericsson C902, ATT, links fine, see battery and signal strength, haven't tried to link contacts.

 

The HTC Evo on Sprint works perfectly. Much better then the Hero that I had before which would drop connections every once in a while.

Under AcuraLink Messages, option 4 Phone-Data Connection is not available to me. Is there something that I need to reset or must I take it to the dealer?

 

Not all phones that support Hands Free Link with Bluetooth connectivity are also capable for Datalink.
It varies on the phone model and carrier configuration.

Check here for your car year/model + carrier + phone model to see what features you are compabable with.

Thank you very much for the reply. The phone shows as compatible: Apple iPhone 3GS, AT&T is the carrier.

Wouldn't the icon light up regardless of the phone compatibility or are the two somehow related?

 

Apple iPhones are not Datalink connection capable with the 2G RL.

Indeed the HFL website does say 'Compatible with Most Features' but if you click on the link (the phone name) you will see the details. Under Advanced Features it indicates it is not compatible with Data Connection.

According to the Handsfreelink page on Acura's website the Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9650 is not compatible with a 2005 RL (or any other year RL listed there). Specifically, it says all features work except Hands Free Calling which is the most important feature for me.

1. Is that really true? Has anyone been able to make hands free calling work with the BB 9650 and RL?

2. If it is true I'm just curious what/where the problem is. Several earlier model BB phones are compatible with the 2005 RL.

I recently bought a Dell Streak. It pairs fine with the HFL, and battery strength and signal indicators are visible in the MID. Acuralink functionality doesn't work, as with most of the smartphones I've tried. Call quality seems to be pretty good, though the volume is a little low. Hopefully that will get fixed with the new bluetooth stack in the upcoming Android 2.2 update.

 

Help! I just bought the Samsung Fascinate and it works well with my 05 RL with one exception. While using the HFL, after a minute or so, the voice says, "the bluetooth link has been lost", or something to that effect. When this occurs, I cannnot hear the other party, but they can still hear me! After 20 to 30 seconds sometimes the link is fully restored by itself, and I've also been able to push the "phone" button and have it restored, but that does'nt always work. Has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround?

 

Update. The Samsung Fascinate works great with my 05 RL now that I've exchanged phones. (Bad bluetooth).

 

So I'm about to purchase both a 2005 RL and a new phone. Can anyone shed light on how the RL's bluetooth integration works? Is it a pretty easy process to get it to communicate/integrate with your phone? Thanks for any help.

 

Sorry so late in responding. It's an easy process to set up your bluetooth link just by following the instructions in your owners manual. Just be sure that your phone is one that has been tested good to go with your 05. (I love my 05!).

 

Hi I just bought a 2009 RL i have an IPhone 4 i can't figure out how to transfer my contact to the car or how to use the bluetooth for that matter. Can anyone help me? Thanks in Advance.

 

No phone book sync support, so you'll have to add the contacts manually.

 

I am trying to figure out how to do this. My phone is paired to the Handsfree link on my 2006 RL. I have contacts (manually added) on the RL. I can dial out using these contacts and receive calls as well.

How do you initiate a call from your phone and have the Handsfree Link pick it up. When I dial from my phone, the call goes through, but I cannot hear anything on the RL handsfree link. Is there another way to do this?

My phone here is a Blackberry 9800.

 

Either transfer the call to your bluetooth system via the "menu" button in your phone or press the voice button on the steering wheels and say "transfer".

 

New owner of a 05 RL!!!

I cant get Bluetooth to work w/ my EVO to work????

 

I have Iphone 4 and a RL Acura. Am trying to setup the HFP thing and it keeps tells me that the system has a code, and to enter the code that I dont no or have. How can I get around this code without going back to The Dealer. I need some help with this matter. By the way its a use car and its a 05

the prev owner may have put a code in to prevent access from others. maybe someone knows how to clear it

 

So, I crushed out my last phone and upgraded to a Droid. It's Verizon's Casio G'Zone Commando and linked up fine to the RL.

 

Just want to report that mt 05 links up to my Boost Mobile Samsung Replenish, which I think is the cheapest Android phone out there with no contract. I paid $80 new for it. Service costs me $45 a month for unlimited everything. The signal strength and battery show on the MID, but I cannot setup acurlink. I tried the first Sprint setting, did not work, I cannot find the menu a second time to try the second Sprint setting. Boost, as well as Virgin Mobile use the Sprint network CDMA.
