Won't start
Won't start
So we finished T'giving dinner, piled into the RL to head off to see some friends, and it won't start. Turn the key, makes a couple of clicking noises, and afer a few seconds, it stops.
Don't think it's the battery, as all the lights & accs seem to be on. But the Navi screen keeps asking for the code before allowing access.
It's an '06 with 47K miles.
Any ideas out there?

Additional info:
The electronics are freaking out out. At various times (and intermittently) trying to start it, the Navi always asks for the PIN, the radio won't come on, the Navi screen blinks the Acura Link logo then goes blank completely, the info display warns me to check ABS and VSA.

Trust me, it's the battery. This happened to me while i owned my RL. This is a very common issue in the RL as the OEM Delco batteries suck. Put in a new battery and you should be golden.

Best thing to do is to have the battery tested at the dealer. If it's bad, then you need a new battery and the story is over. If it's not bad, then the dealer needs to hunt down a current leak. In my case, it was in the rear trunk release (installed by the dealer). The Bluetooth radio is another frequent cause for current leak, but honestly it could be any electrical part.
It could be, or you could have a current leak somewhere. The latter also happened to me during my RL ownership. Again, though, the OEM batteries really suck.

Well, IMO there are better batteries than the stock one.
BUT just because it has a new sticker on it doesn't mean the battery was ever really good from the start.
There are a lot of variables, and you could have an issue with the car, none the less I think your symptoms are battery related.

Jump start and new battery have it up and running again. Now just need to make sure there isn't something draining it.
Appreciate everyone's help........especiallyy on a holiday. Cheers.

could be alternator related, but haven't heard much about problems with them.
by any chance did you not turn the car off all the way. If you don't and leave it in ACC mode, it will drain it. When you jumped it, you should have taken it for a 15 min ride to let it charge back up. you could have waited a few hours and then tried to start it again. If it started right up, you would be good to go.
If it is a drain problem and you put in a new battery without resolving it, you are back to square one.
