Angry Ranting like Crazy

I live with fucking idiots. I swear to god. I wanted to take my sister head off.

Scenario:
It snowed heavily a few days ago here and my car was in the drive way covered with snow along with my moms car. My mom insisted I take the snow off the car and I said no leave it...I will clean it later..

So she gets my sisters involved and they remove the snow off both cars. My mom taking the snow off hers and my sisters taking the snow of my car. I was thankful..(not like i wouldnt have done it myself). BUT...As I looked closely I see my sister using the snow brush..It also has a little shovel shaped piece...SHE WAS SCRAPING THE ICE OF THE FUKCING CAR.

I yelled at her and was extremely infuriated. I let it go.

Now tonight after work I look at my car carefully and something struck me....A SCRATCH. Now I got this car flawless. Then I spot another and another and another...They scratched up my entire car..

Filled with anger I get in the house explaining in rage what occured and all my sister said it is not that serious. It is only a car. It has no life.

I wanted to her

not really knock her out but you guys know what I mean.

What should I do

I think you should let her live, to say the least.

If it really bothers you, and the scratches aren't too deep have it polished or whatever it is you pay $150 to get rid of the small scratches.

Either way, I've seen people do nasty things to my stuff...it's not worth going to jail over, even though they don't understand how important it is to you.

In the long run...she's your sister dude! Rip the head off one of her dolls to get the point across...or I guess...a cell phone is a better target :-)

yea...I had that feeling once.

My cat kept pooping in my bathtub so I filled it with water.

Cat, of course threw up right next to the bath tub...so I tossed her in, she jumped out, I tossed her in again, she jumped out, 3rd time I toss her in...SHE JUMPS OUT!

So I had to throw her in the sink, wash the floor and then blow dry the poor thing so it doesn't get sick!

Tough love.

My mother has scraped the hell out of my TL. I was sharing the car with her at one point, she didn't have a car, until I got my RL. I think she continues to scrape the hell out of the TL, and it's black, but I looked at it the other day.. not anything like deep, deep scratches into the paint, so I'll just be cleaning it up in the spring, maybe... and giving my moms a good talking to.

She uses this little cheap brush thing with a scraper, but fortunately doesn't use the scraper on the paint. She does use the brush all over the car which irritiates me, and even tho it'll leave MAD swirlies, it should be able to get cleaned up for not much $.

Before getting my garage I didn't even TOUCH the body when removing snow.. I simply brush off the windows, that's it...

Oh, and I would have a serious attitude with my sister, if I had a sis, if that happened to me.. at least for a week or so...

I'd be willing to bet most of the scratches will be buffable....you might be left with some. Unfortunately your family is right....as much as I love my car, it IS going to get scratched, dinged, and chipped up....there's no way around it, at least up here in the Northeast....

It stinks, but thats what happens when you live in a place that has winter.

Get over it. It is a hunk of metal, a tool used to cary your but to work. Tools are made to be used and absorb damage.

I'd a been HEEEAAATTEEDDD. Some people just don't under stand the love you have for your car. Especially when you try like hell to keep it clean and some how someone manages to do something to it to mess it up. Then they act as if it isnt a big deal.

When I got my rx7 (about 14 yrs ago) it was silver and I got used to washing it at the car wash, using that brush that everyone uses. No visible scratches (at least that I could see - or care about).

When I got my Black CL, I washed it for the first time, the same way (with the community brush) and had a HEART ATTACK when the car dried. F'n scratches EVERYWHERE! This is the same brush rednecks use to clean the undercarriage of their mud trucks. The scratches never showed up on my silver RX, but on Black.....WOW (removed these scratches with HEAVY buffing - which is ALSO not good).

EVERYTHING by hand NOW ! ! ! Man, it sucks learning the hard way.

Good luck.

Seriously, it is just a car. It sucks when my wife or kid damages the car but I know it's not intentional. I'm sure the same goes for your family - they were just trying to help you out.

I hope you'll forgive me, but I must state the obvious: you could always move out of your mom's house.

Truly and accident it sounds like. Plus its family so try to get over it and maybe the two of you can work with some scratch remover or polishing compound to try to buff it out.

I did something similar to my moms trunk once. Put the wash bucket on the trunk and slid it accross the trunk to move around the car. Didnt think about the bits of dirt and gravel clinging to the bottom of the bucket. My dad was so mad. Seems like yesterday but that was about 20 years ago!

Silver is an amazing color to have.. as far as you don't have heart attacks every week looking at the new scratches/swirlies.

Silver always looks great! No matter what crappy car wash you use!

Whoa. Not to sound like a douche but please understand where I am coming from.

I dd get over it and obviously i didnt want to literally kill my sister. It was taken out of context.
I see that you are 43 and have alot more important things to take care of instead of a car. I am 19 and I love my car alot and majority of my money goes to everything car.( car payment, mods, gas etc.) I have no other priorties right now except for school which I am halfway finish.

I know it is a hunk of metal, but i did not buy it to absorb damage. It is my pride and joy.

Don't worry, you've got it right. Even tools need love and care! And, if its only a tool to get your but to work, than why buy an RL. We are all on this board because we care a great deal about our cars.

Things that aren't that important to some are more important to others..

I, for one, have but only a few things in life that are very important to me. The obvious, and what should be standard for everybody, is family and health. But as far as the other things, well, my car is right up there on the list.

After family and health, it's just materialistic things really.. And my car is one. The only other thing would be, well, wealth. And with wealth, I can go and buy any materialistic thing I want... that'll make me the happiest guy in the world.

It's like saying if someone threw something at my home, or messed up my front door.. oh, well it's only something to give me a place to stay warm, and sleep... NAH... It's my property, I own or am paying for the thing.. I don't want it getting messed up by SOMEBODY ELSE! I'm the person paying to have it, and it shouldn't be damaged by ANOTHER person.... If anybody damages my stuff it's gonna be ME, and only ME.

I feel you man. I'm 19 too, and my parents don't want me spending so much money on my car. I'd be so pissed if that happened to my black RL.

I drive 25,000 to 30,000 miles a year & have kids. With that much activity it gets dinged and dirty and scratched beyond my control so why worry. I am a real estate appraiser and take my cars a lot of places they should not go. I spend more time in my car than most so I like nice cars, but I am not at all anal about them. I laugh at the people on orums who would never let a valet touch their car.

The same here, all of my cars I try my hardest to keep in pristine condition. If we want to go by your logic, why not leave the house dirty, its going to continue to get dirty and look like crap.

Blazing GT, think carefully and think of the ramifications of your actions. I suggest that you get some detailing supplies and have your sister help you if she can. If she can't, have her stand outside quietly while you do all the work, no ipod, no cell, nothing. Have her watch you fix the damage. As well, explain to your mother that you care for your car very much and you would like your intentions to be carried out since you drive it and take care of it. Be clam, and put some thought into what you will say. Just my

Me, neither, though living in Cleveland I have to put up with them.

Case in point: My thread from today: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-photograph-gallery-91/partially-successful-attempt-paintless-dent-repair-715212/

in which I learned not to go spastic over paint imperfections.

Laugh at me all you want! I'm in commercial real estate and first impression means a lot. It really isn't much effort to park away and avoid door dings, etc. Plus it is good exercise! No door dings on my 03 TL, it looks brand new and I'm in great shape, holla
