you should ask this question in the TL forums. You will definetly get some responses.

Go to the dynojet website and punch in your zip code. Remain consistent. Before and after should be on the same machine.

Basic dyno is 3 runs, mostly with A/F readout. I have paid from $50-$100. The most recent RL dyno set me back $90.00.
Will do another in a month or so.

Have you been doing this after your intake and engine mods, and can compare them to your baseline? How do the numbers come out? What's your elevation up there in the high desert?

Jeez. n00bs.

neuronbob's famous RL dyno thread--click....mine was done on a Mustang dyno so "reads low". I paid $100 for three runs. One pull was pre-mods, two were post-mods. I got a second opinion dyno at a facility in Boston (I was on a trip, made a side stop )...noted later in the thread.

400hpGS400's dyno run--click...his was on a Dynojet so "reads high". Whatever that means.

Can't wait to see what the results are with the Jet ECU reflash. If the results are worthy, this is something I would be nearly 100% likely to try.

Mine was actually with Pulstar plugs and synthetic fluids so there is a few extra ponies there alone.

Heh heh! A running joke (if only with myself) about a "performance upgrade" part that's so silly and obscene that when I posted it on this site, it was immediately censored. Seriously.

Dude, you know that car is way faster, now! Every time I see wonder oil products or aerodynamic stickers or fuel additive, each of which is "guaranteed" to add 35hp, 35mpg and smell like free range Vanilla, I think of my Hello Kitty Tips and the gnarly 4-wheel burnouts I can hardly avoid...

yes they are and so far i only got a pulley, exhaust and K&N drop in, so they are going to tweak the PCM based on those mods

would it be better to get the ECU after ALL the performance mods so you can do one last final tune?

yes its best to finish all your mods before flashing the PCM, spoke to JET and that is highly recommended. and btw the cheapest price i got the package for was $250 instead of the listen $330 on the JET site

PLEASE don't go to Jet Peformane for the "reflash". It's not legit. There's been several people who've testified on the TL side of their fraudulent claims. Jet "guesstimates" what to program based on what mods you tell them you have. It's not worth it, $250, $330, or whatever.

I've actually been to Jet to check it out personally, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The problem is, you have to start somewhere in adjusting the ECU. A "guesstimate" is as good as anything, and it can be adjusted based on proper tuning (e.g. dyno, AFR monitoring, etc).

If the criticism is that they are not doing proper dyno-based tuning, then you have a point.

I guess I'll have to review the TL board's posts on the Jet ECUs to make a better opinion...

Very true, I went through 6 piggyback ecu's when I installed a blower on my GS. I then just went with another piggyback and tuned it locally, done right the first time on a dyno.

For only $200 or so it is worth a shot for me, when I get to that point. Of course if I am not satisfied I will let them know. I doubt that they dyno each car and tune for only $200, most likely increase the fuel mixture a tad to compensate for some mods. Not sure if it has any timing changes.
