Picking up a '09 Tech tomorrow. Platinum Frost/Taupe. Looking forward to getting the car and sharing information with other RL owners. Thanks for the great forum and excellent information.

Welcome to AZ, powersb. Finally, a third 2009 RL owner! 037 isn't lonely anymore. Nice color combo, too. I had Celestial Silver and Taupe.

Thanks for the welcome neuronbob! 037-the price was 44,100 before TTL. The dealer got the vehicle about 2 weeks ago.

Just bought an '09 RL, black and black. The only other colors available were gold and parchment which I did'nt like and a white and parchment with 1700 miles on it which was nice but I wanted a new car with no miles. They charged extra for the black because it's apparently in high demand and other dealers wanted it on their lots.
A couple of days in, I like everything about the car except the trunk is tiny and back seat room not very good. Hard to understand how a car almost 196 inches long has such poor back seat space and trunk room.

That is a joke 202 RLs were spld the whole month, I don't call that high demand. They should have been happy to have a customer.

Dealer wanted $1000 more for the black/black. Got him down to $750. This may be legit from a supply/demand perspective. There are only a handful of new '09's left in my state, a few more with around 2K miles they are selling as new. Apparently, no more 09's to be made, '10's come next. Dealer said he had lots of other Acura dealers wanting the black/black on their lots (but not other colors he had), this may be true. Feel I got a good price on the car and a bunch of stuff either "thrown in" or below dealer cost, so I ate the extra cost for the color. Don't know if this is the place to post prices paid.

Nice work.. How but more specifics on what you went with for lowering....

Also, let's shed some light on the difference you are feeling while driving.... (taking corners, riding bad roads, highway etc.)

I dropped it on H&R 50116's.

Have not had the chance to test out handling differences, but the ride is rougher over bumps, gotta slow down now instead of barreling straight through.

I may decide to sell my original springs.

Looks much better.

I like the drop HR provides.. What you thinkin about the shocks/struts or whatever, you think just springs are ok for a while?

I'm leaning toward A-Spec, for the sake of having springs and the rest of it.. why didn't you A-Spec for 09?

A-Spec was not available for 09.

I do not intend to change anything else...

All I wanted was a firmer ride and a lower stance.

And the gas mileage to improve

I just came back from a 450mi trip and the average was 18mpg with average speed of about 75.

That means 90 all the way and rest stops and traffic...
