Recently changed headlights dead again

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum. I bought a used 2015 RDX in January. When I bought it, the passenger headlight (low beam) was dead. Got it fixed, but now two months later, it is dead again. What kind of issue am I looking at here and how much would it take to get it fixed for good so it doesn't happen so soon again?

How did you fix the headlight?

I took it to the mechanic and they replaced the headlight. Paid about CA$200 for the part, if I remember correctly.

Buy a good TYC headlight, install an LED bulb and the headlight will last forever.

Sorry I'm new to all of this. This is my first car, pardon any ignorance. So does this mean the whole assembly will have to be replaced and then a new bulb is put in? So the replacement I had done in January just didn't cut it and was a stopgap?

Let's start from the very beginning, did the low beam become weak or go out completely?

If it helps, I was able to find the receipt for the work done in January. It was "HID headlight ballast right front"

It went out completely and as mentioned above, the ballast was replaced.

In this case, we found out that you have HID headlights, this means that you can first swap the bulbs in the right and left headlights to make sure that the problem is not in the bulb.
