Today the wife said the 2016 started to jerk and lurch while accelerating and when I put the scanner on it it had a P0990 temporary code, 6th gear clutch pressure sensor/switch. I drove it and got a permanent P0990 code and the transmission started out in high gear from a stop so a real problem. Found the part number 28600-R94-004 for the pressure sensor switch, which is a Honda/Acura part number so I went to the much closer Honda dealer to get the part. Came home and open the package and the plastic color for the pressure switch is black and the original switch is green. I put the new pressure switch in and have taken it for a 20 mile drive and all seems okay but I'm still a little concern about the part color coding. Anyone know something more about these pressure switches, does the plastic color difference mean there's a difference in these part?

This is great information and there's also confirmation in this thread that the new 28600-R94-004 parts from Honda are now black. Wish I had seen this thread prior to my repair but I only did a search for the 6th gear P0990 code I was seeing and missed this thread. It looks like the 3rd gear pressure switch is a more common replacement item, same part number as the 6th gear pressure switch though.
