Downshift transmission issues?

I've read a few things about "juddering" issues with the transmissions. I don't notice that.
2015 with just over 100,000 miles. Engine runs smooth as butter for the most part. But when coasting down and as the speed drops below 30mph I can detect the vehicle slowing more for a moment as if I had lightly touched the brakes. Is this a common or known issue? Is it a sign of failure to come?

Normal occurrence, they all do it. Your transmission is fine. Might help some of the discomfort by installing the VETC bypass.

Yup it's very typical. Nothing to worry about.

That's good to know. I've heard of people installing a VCM muzzler on these but not VETC bypass. Not quite sure what that is yet actually. Are there side effects to that? Is it related to the oil pressure switch? I read about that sometimes leaking onto the alternator causing failure.

Sorry , I called it by a rose of another name,,indeed VCM muzzler is by the correct phrase. I wasn't watching my mileage properly by replacing the PCV vale . Normally do it every 50k miles. Didn't replace it soon enough this last time, now my valve cover gasket is leaking.
That's a bunch of time consuming labor.

Ok gotcha. How many miles did you put on the car before installing the VCM muzzler? Did it seem to improve shifting performance?

I'm glad to see another piece of preventative maintenance advice on the PCV valve. I'll have to look into that. Did the leak end up taking your alternator out?
