Hi Dave,
I have a 2015 Acura RDX and need to determine where the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th AT oil pressure switches are located. Nothing I have seen so far shows me each switch number and location. Perhaps your manual can help me? I had a P177A code register on dash, with a blinking "D" and "check transmission" message. When i I turn engine off, message and blinking disappear only to return at some point in future. I was told it's probably the 3rd and/or 4th switch.

Thanks for you help.

Hello Chewdog

I can get you the info next week, From memory, I believe the P177A is line pressure solenoid and looking at transmission from the front (opposite from facing forward driving) it is on the left bottom solenoid. If you are very low on fluid, this will cause the fault..

How many miles on the RDX?

Thank you Dave. No rush.
I have 95,000 miles and I recently had the dealer replace transmission fluid and transfer case fluid. Fluid looks good. I plugged a scanner in and it reads "line pressure solenoid valve or a line pressure switch stuck off"- P177A code shows on the scanner as well. Any guidance you can provide illustrating where the line pressure solenoid valve; line pressure switch; 2-6 clutch switches are located would be very appreciated. If it is not the clutch switches, then at least I will know where they for any future issues I may have with the transmission. Thank you again and enjoy your weekend!

Thanks, that's the right one.

Do you have any diagnostics for fuel pump module (17045-TX4-A01)? I need to know the fuel gauge float resistance (RDX 2013-2015).

Hi Dave,
To replace Line Pressure Solenoid Valve A the instructions refer to: Secondary Valve Body Removal and Installation (2013-13), or Secondary Valve Body Removal and Installation (2014-17). If you would include these instructions as well that would be fantastic and very much appreciated. I can't thank you enough for your help!
Best,

Please Read POST # 5 (THIS WAS ALREADY ASKED. PLEASE READ ALL POSTS BEFORE ASKING).

I HATE REPEATING MYSELF.

It would take me months at our manual computer to do and I really don't want to loose my JOB!!!!
The online manual website tracks your searches and they will cancel our subscription and I will be out of a JOB again!!!!.

It will be unfair to other members if all I get is one percent and loose my job and everyone on this forum will loose manual access.

I barely have enough time to offer the manuals for forum members let along trying to copy the entire manual. I want to help others and trying to copy the entire manual is outrageous.

If you Google a 2013-2018 Acura RDX service manual, all you will find is being able to purchase access. I think that can be done on a daily, weekly or annual basis. But an entire file, as
Dave states, is a no go. One used to be able to buy hard copies of Honda service manuals from Helm,Inc, but paper is so 20th century.

Hello Chewdog,

Sorry I didn't read the manual to see if you needed additional information. Here is the secondary valve body removal and installation. Hope this helps you.

Hi Dave:

Thank you for sharing these valuable repair information! I have one question regarding the bleeding order in your brake fluid bleeding instruction. The order in the manual is FL-FR-RR-RL. This order is different from all the vehicle I had before (Honda Civic, Toyota Camry and Sienna, Subaru Outback) which usually starts at the furthest brake location: RR. Do you know why?

Dave,
Thank you for taking the time to do this - I've downloaded many of these (also, many I hope I never have to use)! I saw the transmission fluid manual - any chance of also getting the transfer case and rear diff fluid change manuals - thank you in advance, Dean

There are some good explanations on this if you Google. The gist is: ABS controllers change everything.

Hope you understand, this is the second generation RDX forum.

Dave, Any chance you could post the factory service procedure for diagnosing a "Check All Wheel Drive" warning light (code 71 also appeared on center screen if that helps) -- thank you in advance, Dean

Hello User#

Code 71 is a unknown code just to tell the customer to call dealer and bring in vehicle. You need to scan it to get the actual code. Attached is the all the codes troubleshooting for the AWD system.

Hello Tim

The problem is Honda stopped publishing their manuals to prevent people copying and posting their manuals online. It is their right to do this because it is their intellectual property. Thank you for understanding and no apologies needed.
If you need any specific information please feel free to ask.

Sincerely
Dave

Hello atis

There is no detailed diagram on the circuit of the MICU. It is basically a BCM and a fuse panel built into one., Attached is a block diagram of the MICU (BCM) but it has no details on the circuitry. You need to contact Honda engineering for detailed circuit diagrams.

According to the TSB for transmission judder, 10 quarts for a full replacement.

http://www.urvi.net/forumfiles/SB/B17-018.PDF

Having the software update might be useful if not done. The tsb calls for simulated driving in between changes, but if doing it yourself, a weeks worth of driving
works well. Around the block is not enough. You must go through all gears and the torque converter must lock up, like with highway driving.

Tim 3.3 quarts at each change. Look at post # 20, all the fluid level quantities are listed in the PDF.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for all your great posts.. Looked them all over to make sure you hadn't uploaded this one already.
Want to properly remove my garnish panel covering my 2017 Advance Navigation/Infotainment unit (center unit garnish panel) so I can install an aftermarket CarPlay attachment inline.
Have to unscrew navi/music unit and plug into the back of the Navi unit to do that.

Looked all around for instructions for removing the garnish panel cover without damage.. no luck so far. Pics attached to show what I mean.

The garnish trim I want to remove

Another view showing the end state of what I want to do

Thanks in advance for any help!

Which is why it might be a good idea to post all Service Manual PDFs on the 1st post sorting them into Engine, Transmission, Chassis, Interior, etc.

Hi Hetzmic: I wish your mod works! Apple carplay is the only missing feature I would like to add in my RDX and will definitely follow your suit.

Likely, but with 118 posts so far and with many more pages to come in the future, do you think anyone is going to go through all of them to see if a job has already been posted. Nope! So we get duplication which means more work for Dave.

That is why you post any job on the initial thread. Easy to find. All in one location. Sort of like the Technical Bulletins.

Hello Tech

I though of that when I started the thread and got my first request. I cannot update my original thread as there is no option to edit the thread.
I know it will get harder for everyone to look through all the threads.
