Hello

Attached is the "ENTIRE" section of the HVAC system. You need to look in the PDF for the section you require. It took me a "MANY MANY HOURS" to get the entire section but driving in comfort is extremely important.

Enjoy and Stay COOL.

Thank you for your diligent effort Dave! I did a quick search and found that the nomenclature they used was very interesting. If I'm reading things correctly at a quick glance, rather than use the term "actuator or blend door actuator", they used driver's and passenger's "air mix control motor". Thanks again!

Dave, I just moved from a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe (for which I have both the Helm manual and the V-6 supplement) to a 2014 RDX. I don't have any problems (yet!), but I have downloaded the pdf's you have posted here, and I appreciate all that you have done!

Thanks very much!

I wouldn't tighten to 110 lbs. No way into a bolt behind sheet metal. 85 lbs. is enough.

Hi,

Do you know where fuel tank unit is connected? Under-Hood or Under-Dash box?

Look for that under service manuals. It's under the rear seat.

Get a quality M12 x 1.25 tap and run it through nut in the frame rail. Or use a 1/2" metal brush (brass or stainless) and spin it around in the nut.

And don't force the bolt with a wrench or ratchet. If it does not going in by hand, do it right and clean out the threads.

Those frame rails have been hot dipped galvanized and then zinc chromat primed before any top coats. There won't be much if any build up.

Any brush, except your welding brush, to cleanup. A little Zep Bolt Buster goes a long way.

Hi Dave,
This is a great picture and helps a lot. Thanks for posting it. I ordered a Thinkware U1000 2 channel dash cam for my 2018 RDX Tech, and I got a few questions for you
1. Do you happen to remember which empty fuse slot was constant power and which was switched power?
2. Can you please tell me which way to orient the fuses going into the Fuse tap wire?
3. Are those both 10 amp fuses?
4. Are the fuses placed in the slot closer to the wire or the legs?

Thanks in Advance for all your help!!

Hi Dave,

Is there a Brake Bleeding Procedure in the Maintenance or Brake section in the service manual?

Hello

@RescueDiver I do not know which ones were hot battery and switched. Just use a meter to find out. Picture shows the orientation of fuse taps. I checked the load using my oscilloscope with amp-meter and added 20%, then I chose the next higher fuse to for camera system.

@Tech Look on page 1, Post 7 for 2013-2018 Conventional Brake Bleeding

Brake Rotor and Pads

Hi Dave,

Thanks so much for all the posts. I would very much appreciate it if you could kindly post the sections of the service manual for front and rear brake rotor and pad replacement.

I searched through this thread and found only the brake bleed procedure but not the procedure for the pads and rotors.

Hi Dave,

I am thinking of putting in a Cellink Neo battery to power the Dash cam when parked. Do you think I can use either of those fuse slots (28 or 40) with a 20 amp fuse?

Thanks in advance for all your help for all your help!!

Hi Guys,
For anyone who wants to use empty slot 28 and 40 for a dash cam installation slot 28 is Switched power and 40 is constant power.

Please follow the title of this Thread for "Manual Requests" and keep the irrelevant posts to a minimum. The thread is getting bigger and it is harder for people to go thru all the pages to find the manuals they are looking for, This has already started to happen as I got requests for manuals already posted.

If you have any specific questions for me fell free to PM me and I will be glad to help out.

DRCRDX already tried to let everyone know to stop the chit chat.

Thanks for your understanding

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the reminder, I will keep it to Manual Requests. Does the manual have removal instructions for the plastic cover behind the rear view mirror. See picture below. Thank you for all your help!!

Thank you,

There is no specific task to remove cover. All it says is to remove it. Attached is a picture of the clips behind the cover.

Hi Dave, can you please upload wiring diagram for tailgate harness. I'm specifically looking for tailgate close button on the tailgate itself. Also removal of Close button.

I'm trying to add foot sensor and want to make sure if button is positively wired or negative.

Thanks in advance

Here is the wiring diagrams and the removal for the interior panels. There is no procedure for removing the switch, just follow standard practices for switch removal and installation.

Hello Dave,
First of all a big thanks for all this!

I have a 2013 RDX w/technology package.
I needed the keyless access system troubleshooting and wiring diagrams as it always gives me "check keyless access system" message and even the dealer was not able to fix it.

Also, I have a parasitic drain related to fuse 29 and I used the diagrams you posted to see the components I needed to check. Are these components right (from page 6 of attached diagram); how can I find these in my vehicle? They all seem to be located in the center junction box 2 but I am not sure how to find that.
  1. gauge control module
  2. acuralink control unit
  3. audio unit/audio-navigation unit
  4. multi-informational display unit
  5. audio display unit
  6. anc/active sound control unit
  7. sunlight sensor
  8. audio-navigation switch panel
  9. homelink unit
  10. front hfl-navigation-anc/active sound control mic
  11. should I include the MICU and the part of the circuit that leads to the driver's junction box?

In order to properly troubleshoot the keyless entry system you need to get the B code. if you have a message then there is a code to pull. You need to have a professional scan tool or one that can get Honda Body codes.

Attached is the wiring diagrams for your parasitic drain. The locations for the components are noted in the diagrams.

Hi Dave, and thanks for such a great thread. Was not a chore to read through it, because many other posts/uploads will be relevant to me eventually, I'm sure. Two requests for 2013-2018 RDX AWD service procedures when you have a chance:

* REPLACE DRIVESHAFT ASSEMBLY, REAR (AWD, right side)
* REPLACE DOOR LOCK CYL, FRONT (left)

Hello,

Attached is everything related to front doors (including locks, window regulator Etc..) and driveshafts. You need to find the section that relates to your task.

Hello,

Attached is the "complete" manuals for all suspension for 2013-2018. You need to find the section you need.

If you want Acura OEM remote start, attached is the installation manual. You need to register the remote start module to the ECU using the HDS or professional Scan tool. If you decide on aftermarket, then you need to go with their installation manuals.

Hi Dave, just to add to my previous post. It is for 2016 RDX but I presume brake system hasn’t changed between 2013-2018. Thanks!
