Must have slipped my mind to write down the model I am requesting the instructions for, apologies. The part number I mentioned, is for the remote engine starter kit for the 2017 RDX AWD Tech. BTW, I looked up page 380 on the 2016 owner's manual and it had instructions on how to change the key fob battery.

I asked awhile bach for the same thing on a 2015. The install is lengthy but reasonible easy with a full set of instructions. The main issue is your rdx still will need to have the remote start setup in the car. Dealer or someone with a quality scan tool. Not the over the counter code readers, it won't work for you. I went after market after reading the process to install oem.

Yep, that's because the part number that you asked Dave for installation instructions for, "72147-TX4-A61" in your post #280 is the key fob. The only thing that you can install on the key fob is the battery, hence the referral to the battery installation instructions for the "72147-TX4-A61". Good luck on the remote engine starter kit!!

Serpentine belt tensioner
Hello, I have skimmed the entire forum and don’t believe anyone has requested this yet - is there a manual for replacing the auto tensioner pulley ASSEMBLY on a 2017 rdx for the drive/serpentine belt? i see replacing the serpentine belt itself, but haven’t seen anything for replacing the tensioner pulley assembly. If anyone knows approximately when the assembly needs to be replaced that would also be helpful. Thank you very much in advance if you can help, apologies if I’ve missed it, and either way Merry Christmas!

Thank you very much for your hard work, this is an amazing thread.
My 2013 RDX left rear door power window is stuck closed and it seems there's something wrong with the motor., so what I am looking for is the instructions on how to remove rear door panel/power window motor diagnostics/removal/replacement.
Thanks a lot in advance.

There are some videos on YouTube -- search for "remove rear door panel 2013 acura rdx". There is also this how-to in the forum: https://acurazine.com/how-tos/a/acur...r-panel-424160
Hope this helps; it looks to be similar to removing the door panels on my former car, an Accord.

Hey Dave, Looking for instructions on how to remove the side pillars, ceiling liner, door sweeps, trunk panels etc. for a 2018 RDX Aspec. I know its alot to ask for but im looking to wire up a 2-CH dash cam and im trying to figure out the best path to the rear window. If there is a complete section available for all the interio panel removals that would be the most ideal.
Much appreciated!

Once I was passing a roadside fruit stand, and I stopped to ask for directions. There was an old grizzled farmer there, with a face that looked like he had seen many things in his life. I asked him which way to go. He paused for a moment, then took out a handkerchief and wiped his brow. I don't know what he said, because I just peeled out. I don't have time for guys to pull out handkerchiefs. -- Jack Handey

Thanks Dave. Much appreciated for your response. I'm still a bit baffled on how difficult the system can make it to work on your own vehicle. Looks like I'll be purchasing one of their options.

Folks, some time ago Dave lost the access he had to the manual through his work. I suggest you search the forums here, and if you don't find these particular problems addressed, start a thread. The other potential solution is to purchase access to the manual; I seem to recall it can be done on a daily, monthly or annual basis, and it is not cheap, because screw the consumer.

Hi Dave,
Would it be possible for you to post electric drawings/info, I would like to install a kill switch on a 2022 RDX A spec.
Usually it is suggested to kill the fuel pump, I was thinking of maybe interrupting the brake pedal signal since it is needed for push to start or the drive/reverse buttons on the transmission.
Reasoning behind this verses going with fuel pump is I would like for the remote start to still work, I am in the great white north it's very convenient on cold winter mornings..
I had a 2020 RDX and they stole it, I want to make it harder to steal when I get the new one.
Thanks for any help you can bring.
Regard's

I need the 2013 Acura RDX step-by-step instructions on how to close the moonroof manually with an allen/hex wrench. I took off the overhead console assembly but can’t find the socket to close the moonroof. I don’t have any “plugs” or see any sockets. It’s going to rain tomorrow…help…

This is so great. I love you sir!!! - However, I do not know what this first part "CKP Pattern Clear CKP Pattern Learn Procedure" is all about.
I have done chain and belts in past but this seems new. Is this required and if so what is a "HDS which must be connected to DLC" I assume this is a honda computer of some sorts.
Any help or tips is great. Thanks

Hi all,
If you need any factory service manual data, please ask here and I will upload them.
Having all the service manual data in one location helps all users on this forum to locate them easily.
If you need other vehicles, I can fulfill your request but it may take a while. I will do this for other Acura vehicles only and on a limited basis.
Hope you understand, this is the second generation RDX forum.
Thank You

Do you think this diagnostic tool suggested by a YouTuber (Samcrac) would work in place of the Honda HDS? Or is the procedure of CKP pattern clear / pattern learn not needed? Or will this not do that?
Any thoughts or tips are so appreciated.

Hi Dave,
Would you happen to have the section related to oil and oil filter changes? Most specifically I’m looking for the drain plug and filter torque values but would love the entire section on it if you could.
Thank you!

1. Dave's not here, man. He no longer has access to the Service manual, and doesn't check this thread.
2. I don't know if it would apply to this particular request, but it's useful to search this thread; there's a lot of information here.
3. I recommend avoiding the need to answer the question. If you're going to do your own oil changes, install one of these: . You don't take it off like an oil drain bolt. This avoids the possibility of damaging the aluminum oil pan. YMMV, of course, but I did this 25,000 miles ago on my RDX, and it has worked like a charm.

The specs are:
Drain plug, 29lbs with a fresh crush washer. Some folks need to go to 33 lbs because of previous over tightening.
Oil filter is 7/8" beyond hand tight. Make sure the old gasket is off, lightly oil the gasket on the new filter.
All Honda/Acura automatic transmissions require regular fluid changes. A normal fluid change replaces approx. 1/3 of the fluid.
The drain plug is 36 lbs (with a fresh crush washer)
The fill plug is 33 lbs with a fresh gasket.
Many folks rig up a funnel & hose or stacked funnels to refill through the dipstick hole. Patience is required, fluid fills very slowly.
Here is a link from the MDX section here: (RDXs 2013-2018 are just little MDXs)
https://acurazine.com/forums/ilx-382...e-plug-993434/
It also includes specs for the rear differential in AWD models.

Rear spoiler and 3rd brake light
Hi Dave, thank you in advance for your help and for this thread. Our spoiler has become loose on one side and almost halfway across to the other side. Possibly related, the 3rd brake light has become non-functional. Any service manual info you can provide on these two subjects is greatly appreciated. Cheers 🍻

Hi,
Can you post how to replace the push start ignition button for 2015 acura rdx.
I do not want to break any clips or panels as I am pulling it out. Would like to know where the clips /screws are located.
Thanking you in advance.
