2017 Acura RDX bought Nov 2016
Am gettitng 12.9 mpg 4735 mile currently
Bluetooth sucks. It always goes into private mode
I had to pull over shut the car off turn it back on again
Is this a known issue

 

Two separate issues here? There is a thread on low mpg. I am not familiar with a bluetooth issue. What device?

 

do you allow remote sim access on your phone? if it is off it will cause problems like that

 

I had similar issues and used a method on YouTube for an mdx.
I finally got the phone(s) to sync while parked with ignition on and using the rdx menu until each phone was able to recognize the Acura Bluetooth and visaversa.
A message to accept appeared on our iPhones. Not sure about the android that my son has but everything now works.

12.9mgh was very similar to ours when we first got and now at 7500mi finally seeing slight improvement.

 

A little more info can help, too. What region of the country are you in? What is your standard commute or driving habit? Cold winter driving, with slow or start/stop commute could be a major factor, for example.

As to Bluetooth, never had an issue with mine. Did you try to reset the system? Any comment from your dealer?

am planning a trip to Maryland and 160 mile each way
so I will update if there is any difference

 

My RDX easily gets 29 mpg in the highway. In NYC driving is half of that.
