btw i did it on the wife's subie also (checkvalve is under a bolt, in the slave, so just a matter of unscrew it, pulling it out, and putting it back in lol), but anyways with the AWD system, yeah you could not even launch the car without the clutch slipping bad, and now the clutch will actually GRAB, and you can break all 4 tires loose
and it's an advantage to be able to break all 4 tires loose too, cause it lets you keep the engine from bogging off the line (if they grip too well, it bogs)

The hardest part on CDD was the get those lines loose.
As for headlight they look much better now paint matches body color butni cant decide what to with bulbs. I ordered chrome bulb that came are not the same xx56 instead xx57 so i had to put stock ones for now. I was thining to get switchbacks but we will see.

first of all, you should not be pulling that pin out, UNLESS the belt is already off, and btw it's called a key, and it goes in the keyway

also for getting EVERYTHING lined back up without damage.....

best way is pull out all the plugs, and get all the pistons to be somewhere in midtravel, or at the bottom of the bore, basically so there is no chance of the valves touching

as far as getting the crank back up, remember it only spins half the speed of the cams, and basically just turn it VERY SLOW, and if you feel anything other then a smooth resistence STOP, and reassess (it can turn into a lot more work quite quickly)

fyi, you know the timing marks on subies actually place the pistons midtravel to minimize potential damage from contact...

normally not absolutely mandatory, but always a good idea to check though, especially to keep from burning an exhaust valve if too tight

Good job on the timing belt change, you should feel proud for completing all that work without taking it to a mechanic. Nice color on the wheels too, it will look nice with the color of your car

good job on your recent work man...
I think those wheels are looking good in satin black, so go for it...
Your car should be really putting down some good power now...go for the dyno again and see if you've changed things, especially after your major tune-up...gl

Yea, just have the exhaust shop weld in a bung right after it.
