lol, that is probably the HBP!
Smaller shaft pulley = more psi.
Bigger alternator pulley = more psi. At least that's from what i read.

Hook up a boost gauge!

I guess we had some confusion last night... this make sense as me and Morgan were right when we said a smaller pulley on the shaft of the blower would make it turn FASTER which should equal more boost. If you have a larger pulley on the alternator, this should in turn, cause the shaft also to turn faster. If it were a smaller pulley on the alternator, this should make the charger turn slower equaling less boost.

With this clarified - DISCONNECT YOUR IMRC!

Also, nice to meet you yesterday Morgan. Terrible misfortune with the car, hopefully it's just a small hiccup.

Broke the passenger side inner CV joint as soon as I floored it at about 40mph. I was able to limp it back to the house. Swapping it out today, so all should be good.

BTW, Jake - I have a brand new Mugen t-stat and Im sure another rad cap and fan switch. Ill have to check though. If you want them let me know. Theyre just collecting dust.

Dont you worry about that.

UPDATE i was so excited about whole thing that i overlooked the pulleys and i did put smaller one 3" which is low boost pulley. So im running 3psi. Im kind of happy because i did not want o run HBP with my IMRC still working. I'm also happy thay its not HBP because the it didnt feel like one.

I measured the HBP (the other pulley that i have in the garage and the outer edge of it has 3.45" but that is not correct size i think when im gonna measure it again tomorrow with caliper it will be 3.25" which is HBP. Anyway its bigger that the one i have on the car right now.

I was about to say, from the measurements you texted me I thought you had a custom pulley and your boost gauge registering 9psi, your motor was taking a beating last night.

Okie dokie, Like I said before. If you wanna try using my Autometer Boost gauge, you can use it. If it works, you can keep it for $50.

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-a...w=1600&bih=799

Costs over $150 new.

now im waiting for the engine to cool off a bit so i can go to my garage and yank supercharger, so once im there i will swap the pulley too
