All humor aside though, there's not a better moment in this life than when I'm at home at night with all of them just watching them all play and laugh in the living room floor. It's then you realize that this it's the only sense of genuine fulfillment a human being gets in his/her life.

With our cars, its like we're always wanting more wether it be looks or power....somehow never satisfying. But with a child, that contentment is there from the day he/she is born.

Good to hear from all you dads on the forum.
Robert....thanks a lot brother....

You are very very right....I think the best thing I have done in MY ENTIRE LIFE is to hold this little kid and put him to sleep in my arms....you can see the peace he is in....its a different feeling

Yeah this dude eats every 2-3 hours during the day (we have to wake him up and feed him) and every 3-4 hours at night (we let him cry and wake us up)....he takes a good 7-9 feedings/day....the nights do get a little crazy but I bet it will all be worth it in the end

Jebus this thing has power. Havent gotten above 3500ish and its more powerful at that rpm than the J32A2 was WOT.. And Torque. Its amazing how much more it has compared to the 3.2

J35A3 block.
2011 MDX 3.7 crank, rods, pistons.
2009 MDX Camshafts
KMS Block guard
Block decked .006
Head ported, polished, gasket matched, machined .002
Lower IM runners gasket matched and ported 2mm larger dia
.027 Cometic MLS head gasket
AASCO aluminum lightweight Flywheel
Lightweight crank pulley.
Old SS Headers.

Need to do yet.

Finish Dual Throttle Body IM
Long Tube headers
Find a way to tune it.

Sounds awesome. Good for you man, really!

Back to our conversation that night...have you considered a standalone EMS for the motor? There's sooooo many of them out there that are actually quality pieces of equipment. If you're comfortable with adapting a harness to the engines sensor connectors, your possibilities are endless. Motec is one Ive heard great things about but go to google and search for "engine management system". Otherwise, you could convert the engine using a 2nd gen j-series oil pump and cam pulleys (for cam/crank sensor mounting provisions) and then purchase the appropriate harness, sensors/electronics, j35a8 ECM, then Hondata and be on your way. I honestly would depend on any piggyback crap when you could go one of the two ways listed and get accurate data from the engine back to the controller rather than changing/modifying a highly sensitive signal and risk so many things.

Ive thought about it. Ive partially looked at the AEM unit, but am still undecided due to the speedo/tach issues ive read about and the issue with the different crank sensor on the manual Any insight on it?

I have. Finding someone able to help tune and install/wire it will/would be the hard part.

There's a guy here (local) with a 03 TL spraying 125 shot... not sure of his mods (bolt-on heavy I'm sure), but he did mention he's running Megasquirt to tune. He's usually at the shop when I stop by there... I'll ask him who tuned his.

Though all it will get for break in is about 200 miles of moderate driving (mostly for the clutch) The main part of an engines break-in happens the first time you start the engine. As per Hondas recommendation, i let the car idle for 20 min the first time i started it. Ive never given any of my motors more than 200 miles before they saw repeated redline. None have ever failed (knocks on wood)

255/35/18s stand no chance. Half throttle spins them in 1st Looks like there will be some body work this winter to get 275s on her.

OMG is there ever. Now i know what you have been feeling all this time. Yes i smile. More like giggle like a little kid.
It took some time playing with the TB (stock) to get the Voltage correct and to get it to read 100% open. After a little grinding i got it. Now to finish the dual TB setup and really give it some air.

Making fun of the 3.2 I bet my 3.2 will make more power than most 3.5 and 3.6's will NA. Now just imagine what it feels like with 600 lbs removed from car. Custom IM and headers is where the power is at besides FI. Then I can just swap out a new motor for 600 or less whenever needed without worrying about internals.

That is just my preference. Don't hate me for posting my opinion.

May a stock 3.2... A s/c'd 3.2 w/ HBP is nothing to sneeze at

And then there's 9 to 10lbs of boost

My 3.2 was making great power. I ran with my My buddies 12.5 sec 1/4 mustang and he could never get my drivers door never got past his rear bumper. I just wanted more NA.

No hate here. Its all about what each person wants
Having all this torque on top of a nice linear power band will make the car an even bigger blast now on lapping days. Now to get the Dual TB im and better/larger headers made to really let it breath.

come spring (or whenever i get way of tuning it) ill have it dyno'ed. Id be willing to bet it will make more power than the CT blower even with the HBP

Update time! (Per request)

I have been delegating attention to the Accord day by day and finally got the new rings in along with most of the bottom end reassembled. Today I'll try and get the heads back on and torqued down and maybe the belt too. Still waiting on a few more parts to get back from ceramic coating but that's either today or tomorrow morning. After that, it's just a matter of reinstalling the turbo components and making sure everything's where it needs to be.

With Kris having this new 3.7 up and running, I have some motivation I getting things finished.
