ticket for tint in Houston,tx

I hate these cops that stand under the bridge of freeways. He had no reason to stop me, but he gave me a ticket as I was making a u turn for my tint, saying it was too dark. Ive got 20 percent all around, I know that in Texas, you have to have 35 percent but I know so many people that have darker tint. Does anyone know how to get this ticket dismissed? Id really appreciate yalls input.

thanks

20% is VERY dark. Here in CA (ALAMEDA county for instance), if you have 35% on the side windows you'll definitely get pulled over as well.

Only way I got out of it ( back when I had darker tints) was to drop the name of another cop I knew....I have had friends who have had to remove their tints

Indiokats,
Is it fix it ticket or you have to pay and fix it? If it is fix-it ticket, you can remove all the tint (or borrow someone's car with no tint ), took some pics and show them to the judge.

Word. I paid mine and that was it. It's the cost of staying cool I guess. I was rolling through a small town in Texas and I was in the Mickey D's line. Next thing I hear is, "Pull out of the line" I thought it was the MCD mic at first but then i looked in my rear view mirror and I see a Texas State trooper. He wrote me a ticket and it was like 88 bucks or something.

I haven't had any trouble with my 20% yet (knock on wood) but I'm in Austin and Dallas all the time. Houston cops are probably more anal about that kind of stuff.

No shit. He had to write me a ticket( they use a light tool to see how much light passes through) and then I had to get back in line.
