Supercharger whine at speed

Just a query as to how noticeable the Comptech supercharger noise is when you are at a steady 60-70 mph. Windows up vs. windows down. I know that sounds of this type can be really exhilarating for a while, but tiresome as a constant - - depending on the driver's personal feelings, of course. Thanks for your interest.

why would it be tiresome? turbo bov sound is much louder than a sc spooling sound anyways... and i wouldn't tired of either sound

do a search, scalbert has a vid doing runs on his cls-6 supercharged and you can clearly hear the sc even with the window closed.. it sounds sick, like a cobra sc

He' saying if you hear it whining all the time it'd get annoying. Just like aftermarket exhast droning while your going down the highway.

And you can only hear a blow-off valve if you get the turbo spooled up. It's not a constant sound like the whine of a superchagrers can be.

Making a 2 hour trip with loud exhaust or superchager whine would get old quick.

He's asking at a steady 70 MPH, not accelerating You can't tell from those clips. Be easy if someone with the S/C would chime in and answer him.

Not really MAN, it's different depending on the S/C and the car.

For example a 03 S/C Cobra Mustang you *CAN* hear it just cruising down the highway at 70mph. :P

Obviously the *common sense* of the person asking tells me that he knows there are some superchagers that do make noise at even low RPM(s).

I have it with the HBP and I almost can't even tell it is there unless I am accelerating hard at higher RPMs. The Comptech S/C is very quiet.

Shooting for October 20th for my install.

FYI: Brian I got my gauges today. The Ultra Lites look awesome. The silver face matches the stock gauges very well.

When you are just steady crusing you cannot even hear the S/C. It is ONLY when you accelerate that it even makes any discernable noise...and I have the high boost pulley.

BTW, I usually crave hearing the S/C whine. Sounds AWESOME!!!!

I agree. At the track I saw a couple S/C Mustangs and the blower makes alot of noise at idle.

When cruising on the highway at 60-70mph i'm not even in boost anymore and the car sounds completely like stock. The only time i'll really notice the whine is at WOT.

I normally cruize at around 80 mph. When cruizing at 80 mph I hear a slight, almost inaudible whistling sound when accelerating with less than 1/2 throttle.
