Stupid question about getting car battery changed at sears

I got my battery changed at Sears - When I got in my car I hadn't lost my stations and I didnt have to put in the radio code....

How did they do that?

Because a couple months ago I disconnected my battery cable for a couple mins and I had to enter the code for the radio...

They might of hooked up temporary cables to the battery cables while removing.

YUP, from what I remember they put something in the cigarette lighter ( oops POWER OUTLET ) and that keeps the computer and your radio happy while the battery is out.

I may be heading up there soon.
My car isn’t cranking as strong as I think it should since the weather turned COLD.
SHIT…. Didn’t even make 2-Years.

Probably called the local Acura dealer to get a radio code.

I’m getting my State inspection done in 2-weeks at the dealer.
I’m gonna mention it to them first and maybe get one under warranty.
If not….. SEARS here I come.
Their GOLD batteries are great and I’ve never had one let me down.

They prob use one of those lil gizmos that plug into the cig lighter/power outlet. It basically has a 9V battery in it. Altho, just b/b they are Sears they prob have a fancy rechargable one.

I had a DieHard Gold in my last car 1000CA/900CCA - it was unreal! I left my aftermarket fogs on all day at school one day (7+ hrs @ 10amps) and it somehow still managed to start the car. Amazing! I got it for $20 too. My mom got some tires there and they gave her a lil coupon for a free reg battery. $20 more got me the Gold.

power outlet wouldn't work unless they left the ignition switch on, which I don't think they would do. YMMV

Damn, that is a good point CO CO-S. Maybe they just run some small jumpers to the underhood wires?
