You said they were the best around. :P

There is a special tool to hold the pulley and crank, while you get a 20 foot pry bar on that bitch. I'll see if I can find it,.. I almost bought one.

There are two different sizes. As much work as they do on motors, they should buck up and have the right tools. The bottom link is a kit with both sizes. I was going to get the top one.

No problem,... print it, and take it over to the shop, and say WTF?

i had this problem and the fix is so easy...pull the fuse in the car for the fuel pump, and ingnition coil, just to be safe...put a breaker bar on it pin against the ground infront of the car and just turn the key acouple few times...the car turning over WILL loosen the bolt...i just did this last week...

Good idea but don't used your torque wrench as a breaker bar.

i contacted the guy who installed it and type r's method might put too much stress and pressure on the starter so he didnt want to be liable in case something happened

i think imma go to a shop w/ a stronger impact gun, if that dont work i'll order the tool

Shit, you would think that a performance would have the tools necessary to complete the task. Good luck Darrin.

Too bad you're not a little closer. I've been looking for something to test my new 1000 ft lb IR Titaniuim impact wrench on.

A 3/4 gun can be used or you can heat up the nut with a torch for maybe 15 seconds and then hit it with an impact gun, that should do it. Don't get it too hot as the seals nearby could be damaged.

Find another shop. When we did mine the guy that was helping me had a weaker impact wrench at home and we couldn't get it off. He drove to work and got a much better one and it took about 15 seconds working on the bolt but it came off. If you have a good gun, it will come off without a torch or breaker.

I wish I lived closer to a whole bunch of u guys....I can install just about anything and would save u guys a shit-load of cash. Darrin...just find a Comptech approved Acura dealer...or even a regular dealer. All they need is the crank holder.

Ei-Accord on the V6P.net board installed mine over the weekend using TypeR's method. His install took less than an hour.
