Don't announce items until you know they are going to be available?

i am driving with bad mounts for over the year.

is there any other reliable solution for side mount than poly?
check for my post's of ingall's stiffy mount

but as being argued, no set date of when it might be actually coming out (i have no part in that, they are just just my car for test fitting it)
cause yeah it takes time to develop parts, that are of quality

We can have cam gears made. I've priced it out before but we just couldn't get enough commitment.

I would need at least 40 people to participate to get the cam gears made. I'll have to check pricing again but IIRC the gears would be roughly $250 or so for the pair. Don't hold me to that price b/c I'm just going off of memory but I'd need to see a list of at least 25 people to get really serious about this.

So you didn't buy parts from in anticipation of how I might respond to your post a year later? If I remember correctly, I think you were upset b/c I didn't respond to your email about a price on a P2R intake for your vehicle. I remember we addressed this before but if you are upset about it still give us a call to work it out.

I'm not sure how I have an attitude b/c I addressed a negative post toward us.

Either way, I'm not here to argue with you. There's just no need to bash us as we try to release a product that we've created in order to help out the AZ community and fill a void.
I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and waited for months to deal with my mounts.

If I were bringing an item to market that I had a reasonable expectation might take over six months to deliver I'd ask anyone involved to keep it a secret and if they did not I'd post in the thread this is not ready and won't be for the foreseeable future.

Eight months plus later when people get impatient I would not be unpleasant.

As I recall you ignored numerous emails/PMs and when I brought it up in a thread your responses were similar to the one I responded to.

You were too busy to respond so were not considered in the numerous mods I have spent money on which includes 90% items you sell.

I am merely pointing out you get more flies with honey than vinegar.

You will run your business as you see fit.

as said steel inserts
aka: drill a hole in the aluminuim, then put a little steel insert in there (so a shrink fit, warm the pulley up, then cool the inserts, put the inserts in, then let them become the same temp

and even then i would not care if it was a steel pulley to start with, i just want the adjustable part of it

that price would actually not be that bad, aren't the mass produced ones already like a $100 each, so like $25 extra per gear would be no issue here

but yeah the commitment of at least a minuim of 25 people might be an issue though, not too many people out there wanting them
but it might be easier though, especially if they can fit multiple generations of our cars/engines, so it opens up the possible pool of buyers

Again, I'm not going to argue with you on this. I'll let RUF or Mike comment b/c I've already stated what I told others and I've stated that we've experienced delays and I've heard they were coming numerous times from the fabricator. They obviously haven't. Honestly, though, there's no reason for me to sugarcoat their delay. I didn't make a thread about it and I haven't asked anyone for funds to sponsor this project. I could have rushed this project and put something out months ago but I wanted to do this right so I've waited longer than expected so I don't repeat the debacle of the Innovative mounts. So call it what you will but I release these mounts when I feel they are ready.

And again, you sent one email that I missed. And it was a request for a price. If you are still upset about it please give us a call and we'll arrange to give you a discount on something else to make up for it.

No one is asking for a rushed bad product.

I am simply saying a post from you months ago stating what you just said would have been a good idea.

I am not asking you for anything.

You ignored numerous emails/PMs and said you were busy with an attitude when you finally responded which is why with parts available elsewhere I went elsewhere.

I was hoping for quality mounts so waited, when I could wait no more I filled mine with 80U & am happy with them.

I hope your mounts are great whenever they come.

We went through this exact same thing 2.5 months ago:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/new-motor-mount-options-update-735396/page4/#post11587753

RUF and Mike have also PMed me all along and I have given them updates to post also, but the delays have been frustrating so there isn't too much to post until I actually see a product in my hands.

I missed that post. You win, obviously 8 months is too little. By the time I need mounts again in a year + perhaps yours will be ready.

They better be ready by then. The fabricator said 100% they were shipped this time; I've heard that before. When you're ready PM/call/email me. I'll give you a few extra bucks off the mounts to offset the inconvenience from before.

just an OT note. i think you handle quarrels with your customer with class. kudos to you for your dedication to us and for putting up with assholes and not taking it personal.

i still cannot believe you are doing this for the 2g crowd.

but the part where it adjusts is where u would need to put in the inserts. so u wouldn't be able to adjust them bc of the inserts being their. trust me, ive looks at diff possibilities. u would need a stand alone for it to work

I personally appreciate the products excelerate provides us. noone else is willing to do it so why bash the one person/company that is imo. ive ordered most of my parts from excelerate with no issues and they will get more of my business in the future.

I said it has been a long time. No bash there, just a statement of fact.

Phee, take a stroll through the P2R cai thread for the class with which he treated customers before.

I acknowledge the year plus since then shows a change, although the first response in this thread was off putting.

As I said I solved my motor mount issue until these fail.

I'm trying to be amicable about this but you've said this numerous times now. I remember the issue you had and we didn't respond poorly; we just didn't respond in the timeline you expected.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ght=p2r&page=2

Look at pages 2 and 3.

I already apologized in that thread and almost 2 years later I've offered you a discount even though you're being abrasive towards us. What more can I do to resolve this issue you seem to be having?

I've never had a problem w/ Excelerate and I've ordered over $1k in parts from him probably just in the past year. Communication, professionalism and shipping was always on point.

Speaking of mounts, I still have the Innovative mounts (2nd batch) in and while I dont like the vibrations, I dont have any doughing yet. Engine is out and it's one of the first things I wanted to have a good look at. I'd be interested if there were stiffer mounts available less AS much vibrations as I currently have. I know that's like an oxy moron but maybe it's possible

Josh, good luck with it. I hope you can get the issues ironed out and as Ive said in the past, good things come to those who wait. Dont rush it.

Im happy you are actually taking the initiative and trying to manufacture parts for the unloved 2nd gen. When these do come out, I may be in line. And if you need any more testers, let me know. My hood is always open

Well, I can see the frustration is . . . well Very Frustrating.

I won't say too much on this, but being one of the first to get the Innovative mounts the need for a fix or alternative solution has been going on for a long long time, so as much as anyone else this has been a major issue for me. Excelerate has been as frustrated as most of us and there's only so much we can do to pressure the manufacturer as there are no other options to take our business elsewhere, except for the DIY poly fix.

As Excelerate noted above, he's been keep Mike and I updated and I've chosen not to forward those as there was nothing to say other than "2 more weeks" and "2 more weeks" that would just add more frustration . . . trust me . . Mike, Excelerate and I have been dealing with this longer than anyone else.

Anyway . . . guess what . . . MOUNTS ARE ON THEIR WAY!!

Should be here in a few days and will post some pics. Note, these are field proto types so please keep that in mind.

By the way, are there any 2nd gen 6spds in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that I don't know about?

Ruf

80s feels like it.

Yes, let's hope it all fits the first time around.
And I will be testing them on my 02 TLS with Auto.

Out of curiosity, how long after testing these would they be available?

Well . . . in a perfect world it would take months as long term reliability is one of the biggest problems we've had with OEM, Innovative and the Poly Fill.

That said, the first issues are fitment and functionality, and I'll be able to report on that right away. As for long term testing to see how they hold up, well there's no sure way to know until we've gone down that path. Decisions on what to do will depend on the initial testing as well as what sort of warranty we can get from the manufacture. This will be an issue as part of the problem was that Innovative left us high and dry after they couldn't fix the problem . . or didn't want to spend any more time on it.

Anyway, stay tuned as this moves forward, and we'll be looking for feedback once we are ready to do so.

Are you going to be putting your car threw the paces fequently or just regular driving ?
Also how much power is your car making?
So we have a idea what they can handle.

LOL . . anyone that knows me want to chime in?

Trust me . . . I drive my car very hard . . . daily. The OEM mounts typically last just a few months. If you want to do a search for my very first thread on this you'll see that the OEM mount are literally ripped in half.

As for power, probably around 330hp at the crank. Here are my specs.

02 WDP TLS Black Interior w/ Black Grill Inserts & Cleared Headlights
**1/4mile 14.46 @96.07MPH – 14.23 corrected; (45-70mph test - 3.5 secs)
17x7 Konig Appeals SMF – 18.2lbs each
P225/45ZR-17 Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 - (Kumho 225 SPTs for track)
CT Icebox, Custom RamAir, CT Sways & Springs
3nd Gen Innovative Motor Mounts – Front & Side Only
Bored out Intake & TBs, Mugen Cooling Mods & Thermoblok
