New Motor Mount Options Update
I did get an update a day ago, but was hoping to get a bit more by end of week.
Short story is that the front and rear mounts were shipped by the manufacturer and received by the vendor. The bad news is that the side mount was not received. The vendor has been trying to run that down and that's the part I was hoping to have an update on. Once the side mount is received, the vendor is going to send them to me. Once I get them, I'll let everyone know . . . and share some pics, but note that if there are problems with the install and or testing these may not be the final product.
Also, our vendor was out ill most of the past week . . . most likely the swine flu,
so that slowed things down a bit.
Anyway, I'm ready to roll as soon as I get them as I need to eliminate my mounts as part of some problems I'm trying to debug.

I'm sorry to say it will be more than 2 weeks. I'm figuring they've not shipped yet as the side mount wasn't in as of Friday. So if they ship this week, it'll be the weekend before I could start on it. Then add the testing period, which really would need to be a few weeks or so. Fitment issues will be sorted out right away, but reliability is of course much longer. I'm figuring that I can determine the weak spots pretty quick based on all the testing I did on the Innovative mounts.
Then once the testing is done and signed off on, then the production process will be started. And of course the ordering process with the vendor. Not trying to make this sound all bad, but if all works out it's probably going to be closer to 4-6 more weeks. More than any of us want, but there's no one else willing to work with us.
Anyway, I feel your pain as I had to install an OEM rear mount myself. It's been a long and painful process, but OEMs are not an option for those of us with more power or running them hard. They just are, well POS.
The Poly filled is better than OEM and Innovative, but not everyone wants to go that route. And Innovative mounts are POS as well. I'm really hoping these new ones will do the trick,
but I'm not holding my breath.

well my poly filled mounts were so stiff that ive broken my rear motor mount bracket.
ive also broken the tranny bellhousing where it bolts onto the mounts.
fuck my life.
ironically, i had no vibration at all until they broke.

Sorry to hear that. I too am worried that some of my problems I'm having now are due to cheap
motor mounts. I'm not sure I want to look at my tranny now . . . I can see how bad motor mounts busted or too hard could do that.
I'm so hoping these new ones will be the ones.

a front mount just arrived but i dont how to get to it... where is the best way to drain fluid and whats the easiest way to fill it up with polly i know it been posted but i could not find instruction how to do it right to do not mess it up. thanks
I spoke w/the vendor and supposedly all 3 mounts are on the way to him. As soon as he receives them he's going to ship them to Ruf for extended testing. I'll check back w/the vendor in a week.
Dang Mike . . . I just posted this on the 2nd Gen TL P&M forum.
"Well folks . . . I'm not getting any warm and fuzzies on getting motor mounts in time for Christmas.
As of Friday (11/20) the vendor is still waiting on the 3rd mount (rear) from the manufacturer.
Like many of you, I'm wanting and needing them now. Matter of fact, I'm going to another member's house Saturday to do poly filled mounts on his mother's TL because they can't wait any longer.
As for me, I'll keep working with the vendor on getting some quality performance mounts for us 2nd gens."
Well, it seems that things have changed since then as I was just getting around to updating everyone. I've just been really busy with my start up company . . . yeah, got laid off back in February and have practically given up on finding another job.
Anyway, I'll be watching for that big brown truck to come by and will send pics to show off the new goodies.

Here's what my torn front looked like.

Note, you do not need to replace the side even if it's torn. You can poly fill it even if it's torn.
Here's my torn side that I poly'd and it worked until I replaced it with the IM side mount.
