Can't say for sure, but we're hoping the field test mounts will be sent to me soon as they just recently finished testing . . I hope real soon as I need new mounts as well.

I'll post as soon as I get them.

are you referring to the new mounts or the old Innovative mounts?

These were probably cancelled. Its been months since the vendor (excelerate) has chimed in on this, and no updates from any one else.

Take it easy guys... If you look back a few pages XLR8 was talking about the money he put into fabricating these mounts for our cars. Unless he was lying (which I highly doubt), we should see these sometime in the near future. Apparently several were already on their way to be tested...

The 3G TL thread also mentions that mounts were made for 2G and 3G TLs. I'm sure ours can't be too far behind.

It would be nice for an update though!

I'll believe it when i see them. This thread was first created back in july of 09..if they do come out though i guess that means they had plenty of time to test and make these perfect!

Im not surprised its taking so long, cl is the last on the list just like it is last on the list for heeltoe's roof spoiler hehe. So if they did the 3g tl that means we have to wait for the tsx and what else. used to this as a cl owner.

Simple solution:

Don't announce items until you know they are going to be available?

I for one & many others waited for these mounts.

Driving on broken mounts stinks, I only did it for a short while because it was by then clear these were not coming any time soon.

Others did it for months, some still are.

That is irritating.

I agree that this is taking longer than anticipated but I rather it take a little longer and them get the product right than have what happened with Innovative where many of us purchased inferior products because they didn't do a good job on the mounts. OEM isn't a viable option because those were'nt made to hold up especially for those of us that are modded. I'm willing to wait because I heard it shouldn't take too much longer.

Hmmm, who created this thread? Ask the OP if I asked him to create this thread. In fact, the few people I notified about the project were specifically instructed not to say anything exactly for this reason. We are working on a project for this car; it's irritating to me to answer email after email asking me where the mounts are and to read posts like this. Do you have any money invested in this project? NO. I did not take money from anyone nor promised anything. I took thousands of dollars out of my own account to manufacture these mounts and while it has taken much longer than anticipated, I will not rush the product just b/c people want me to. When they are done they are done.

RUF and I have been in correspondence all along. I am glad to work with him and he has been patient. I'm upset with the delays thus far but I can't force them to speed it up any further. There have been a number of manufacturer delays, but it is what it is. The 2nd gen CL/TL is not the best platform to start creating new products for, yet we took our time and money to do so. I'm not asking for special treatment for it but I could do without the negative posts.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I think it is interesting my post was made the 4th & it took you this long to respond.

We went through this with the P2R intake, (bought it directly) I have since put well over 10k into my car not one cent to you due to exactly this kind of post.

IMHO your attitude leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Keep your mounts, (I poly filled mine) your parts, your attitude.

I'd do without before I spent a cent with you.

that too, with being plug and play , but that might be out of scope for excellerate though, idk (cause being intensive electronics, so you need somebody really set up for it)

but yeah those are not magnets (i think), all you really need is a little ferrious metal there, so the cam sensors can pick them up, which you could drill a hole and put a little steel insert in there if the pulley was aluminum (or magnets there if they indeed are magnets [some cars do, and others don't] so please test them rajca {does a paperclip stick to them or not} since you have gears laying around with your built heads)

I have the old engine in my garage & just stuck a magnet on the gear so yes it is steel.

We are extremely busy; I don't have time to post everyday on every forum. I'm not sure how that is an issue either way.

So you didn't buy parts from in anticipation of how I might respond to your post a year later? If I remember correctly, I think you were upset b/c I didn't respond to your email about a price on a P2R intake for your vehicle. I remember we addressed this before but if you are upset about it still give us a call to work it out.

I'm not sure how I have an attitude b/c I addressed a negative post toward us.

Either way, I'm not here to argue with you. There's just no need to bash us as we try to release a product that we've created in order to help out the AZ community and fill a void.

yes the gear is steel, need to see if the pickups on the gear itself are magnetic (the bumps on the backside)

but i highly dought it though being that the gear is steel already
(like subarus use plastic gears with magnetics actually embedded in them, cause it gives a stronger signal to the ecu)
