New Motor Mount Options Update
I just want to pass along an update I got regarding another source for performance motor mounts.
These mounts will be from a new source and if things go well with a few field tests we could see them in a few weeks.
Unlike the Innovative Mounts (IM), these have gone through a more rigorous design and testing process. I am told the manufacture has tested them on the 2nd gen CL/TL, again unlike IM who said they'd work because they worked on Accords and our 2nd gens were just like them.
These new mounts have passed the manufactures fitment and functionality testing and have been sent to a couple of field testers. Assuming the field tests go well, we could see an offering for them by the end of the month (July). That said, I may ask for a limited production field test for a few of us. If we can get that, we'll need to identify who'll do the testing. But don't all jump on this as there'll need to be some control over specific qualifications of who does the testing. We'll probably look at who can do their own, what skill levels they have, who's circumstances provide the best test case, etc.
Anyway, keep your fingers crossed

Hasport?
Im interested in being a tester. Ive got an 03 6 speed. Right now Im running 80A poly filled OEM mounts and NRG torque dampers front and rear. The rear poly is beginning to press out. Im in VA, and its incredibly humid in the summer and in the 90s, and in the winter it gets down to the 20s at times, so I can test the temp properties of the poly.
If you need any other info let me know.

I would think the best thing is the NRG engine dampers, if that's not enough, add another one to the drivers side of the engine.
You'll have to use a lot stiffer engine mounts because they mount closer to the crank centerline. The farther away you go the more leverage you'll have so the NRG dampner doesn't have to be that stiff and won't transmit as much vibration.
What am I missing here?
Id love to get some stiffer mounts too. Right now Ive got 80A, and its relatively soft for my tastes. Im its because most of the mount is the OEM rubber. Full 80A poly mounts should be stiffer then mine, but I may want 94A instead.
^ . . one more week . . . cross your fingers that we'll have some good news.

Well fudge
The manufacture started the testing with the 3rd gens. That means it'll be another 3 weeks before we hear anything on the 2nd gens.
I let them know that they should have started with us since the 3rd gens were fine and we were the ones in dire need.
Wish I had better news . . . at least it's not bad news like they aren't working.

Yes, we don't want to mix and match new good products with bad IM products.
As for the secret, it's not really a big secret. They just don't want to get bombarded with folks calling or pm'ing them about the status. They saw what happened with the Innovative mounts and wanted to have everything sorted out before announcing the product. In the case of Innovative . . . they deserved all the calls and emails.

I just installed the Ingalls ball joint and noticed the upper control arm is very weak. With it out of the car I could twist and flex it by hand. If you install harder radius rod bushings, the upper control arm will flex even more. You either need a stronger arm or box in the OE arm. Seems like everything on this car is soft and squishy for that luxury car ride.
. . . . well rats . . . it's going to be a couple more weeks before we know when they'll be released . . . they found a couple of 'things' (didn't say what) that need to be tweaked and then retest them. If that goes well . . a couple of sets will be sent to a vendor for testing/signoff . . . and then if that goes well we should see announcement by mid September . . . maybe in time for my birthday?

Im still in to be a tester. Hopefully these will be available for testing when I pull the motor. It will make installation 10x easier.
