Navigation system paid for itself this weekend. . .
Navigation system paid for itself this weekend. . .
We were at a friends birthday party in a city I'm not familiar with. My 20 month old son tripped and busted his head on their house speaker. 1" gash above his right eye. Needless to say my wife was frantic. We just grabbed him and took off. Navigation showed us the closest hospital 5 minutes away. I will never get another car without a navigation system.

Yes Yes Yes navigation system on the Japanese car are very reliable and accurate. So far I have not gone wrong once by my G35 sedan's navi system. But I have heard that the navi systems from German cars are not that good.

Not quite as dramatic but this weekend stopped to get gas. This lady pulls up and waves at me. She asks me do i know how to get to such and such street. I sat back in my car, as she stared at me with a puzzled look, and in 30 seconds got back out and told her detailed directions on how to get there ("go 3.2 miles and go left"). My wife calls out from the car, we have a navigation system. The lady thanks me, says "man i need to get myself a raise, so I can get one of those" and takes off.

You’re lucky with our outdated DVD that it didn’t send you to a Hospital that was torn down and relocated in 2001.

StreetPilot is big, bulky, and expensive. A Pocket PC with GPS is a nicer, less expensive option.

Great Navi story. Outdated gets a little frustrated but that should be remedied by next week.

Imagine if the hospital had closed since the Navi was built

glad things went well! hope he doens't have a scar.
Navi is great but remember the cl-s 6 spd. can do 0-60 in sub 6 seconds that can get you outta of a lot of hairy situations. Glad to hear everything worked out and your son is fine..I hope youll be the first on line for the Navi upgrade

When I was like 7 or 8 I fell and had a ~1" open cut right below my right eyebrow. Quick stictches by a plastic surgeon (not some ER Md.) resulted in zero scarring

..if you had onStar, you could have had the ambulance come to your car
