Per Scalbert----

It is not meant to gain something, it is meant to help not loose power. Plus, this is just an experiment to determine the validity of a report done by TOV. In some recent dyno testing done my TOV they dropped about 7hp and the same in torque when the ECT went from 180 F to just above 200 F.

You will never notice this amount even if it turns out to be true; this is about 3% which is imperceptible. Being able to not loose it is nice to know though. Who knows if that test done by TOV is accurate, they have no reason not to be and noted that most Hondas are this way. Some testing will tell though which will be done soon and there is no harm in that.

Yeah NOOB! just kidding.

It helped my car stay a couple of ticks cooler, a very good thing with the supercharger.

Huh? There's two different ways? I thought just the alt. could be upgraded?

I really want the lightened crank pulley too though .

... where you been?.... What do you think all this work to INTERCOOL the car is going towards?.... We want more boost and the only way to achieve it is to I/C the car through Scalbert...

The alternator is 1 pulley but after the intercooler we plan to upgrade the pulley on the S/C shaft to run 8-9lbs of boost if all works out (including the E-manager)

Cool! So about maybe $2k for the whole package? I was getting intimidated by the 30+ page threads, so I reluctantly let them slip by me.

I believe someone here said they lost a tenth off the quarter mile but I don't remember who. All it does is basically prevent u from losing 9hp when the coolant temp reaches 200 degrees. So it will basically be like driving when ur car is cold all the time.

You can get the t-stat, switch and cap here. King Motorsports

That's the Accord page which lists the same #s as the ones that fit the CL. Does the cap actually do anything though? Guess I don't get the purpose of the cap if you're not overheating.

Here is the thread that has the part #s for these. http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...hreadid=121529

King Motorsports actually lists the same t-stat and cap under the Accord but the fan switch is different. The matching switch is listed under the RSX.

Here are the part numbers to order:

THERMOSTAT 19301-XGMR-0000 $69.00
FAN SWITCH 37760-XK5-00N0 $45.00
RADIATOR CAP 19045-XGER-0000 $29.00

All this does is allows the car to be more consistant.

Yes, it is almost done and should fall into that price range. I actually went to install it yesterday but found the pump was leaking.

I have it on my NA car. It's great if you live in high temp states like FL. My car feels alot less sluggish when it's 85 out & humid.
