I was driving my winter unit (95 Trooper) into work today and my "Check Engine" light came on. I knew it wasn't oil as I checked the level yesterday. The engine temp was fine. I pulled over and shut off the engine. I then started it and the "Check Engine" light didn't come back on. As I drove off, the accelleration was hesitant. I was pushing the gas pedal and the vehicle started to buck. When I got to my cruising speed, I was fine (no bucking). It's only bucks during accelleration. The "Check Engine" light goes on and off as well throughout my ride.

Any ideas? Fuel pump, Injectors, ???

 

Sounds like a distributor issue. I had the same problem with my Integra. I think it was the coil that went bad.
