I just thought I'd share this after reading through some of the racing stories.

First off, I drive a 2003 CL-Type S 6 Speed (no nav) which I picked last August....its still totally stock.


Anyways, I pull up to a red light next to a Mercedes ML....I didn't notice the model. On this stretch of highway, the right lane ends a little ways up and I'm looking to get around the SUV before I run out of road.

The light turns green, I give it a quick launch but I'm not pushing it too hard because hey, its a freakin SUV. Right away I can hear a solid roar beside me so I stomp it...still in 1st. I'm pushing the red line on shifts, by the time I'm working my way through third, I notice this damn thing is still beside me. I had to get up to a 160 km/h (~100mph) to get 2 car lengths on him so I could move over. Which was good cause I was running out of road.

I few miles up the road goes back to 2 lanes and I hold back coming up to the light to see what he's driving. Turns out I dropped an AMG ML 55.

Those type of SUV's will catch ya off your guard if you don't know what your running.
