2008 Acura TL

have a 2008 acura tl and i was driving it at 35mph and out of no where the VSA came on and my car lost all power . i had to come to a complete stop and shut the car off. when turning back on irealized the check engine light was on i pushed on and off the VSA multiple times. Then the car was good to go after a few minutes. i let it sit all day and i just took it for a spin the check engine is still on but car is running fine. any suggestions as to why that happened or why the check engine light is on?

I suggest you hook up an OBD2 scanner and see what code you threw and start working backwards from there. Either buy a scanner, find someone who has one or hit up a shop and ask them to scan it.

The check engine light will likely stay on until it is cleared with an OBD2 scanner.

Check your battery terminals and all the grounds and make sure they're clear of corrosion and tight
